'Ohana or Cape May

I can't help you with your Cape May decision.....never been, but I can tell you that Ohana is our all time favorite restaurant at Disney. We love Ohana so much and highly recommend it. :thumbsup2

We were at Disney in December and had dinner at both Cape May and 'Ohana. Our family would vote for Cape May, hands down. Their buffet has something for everyone and we really enjoyed the food. On the other hand, we were terribly disappointed in the food and service at 'Ohana. Best of luck with your choice!

My vote would be for 'Ohana, we loved the food and service. It was our first time there and we were also able to see the fireworks. It will be on our list for next trip.

I would pick 'Ohana. We have been to both. I thought the food at 'Ohana was much better. I love seafood, and did not like the quality of seafood they had at Cape May. It may have been an off night though, because that was the only time we dined there. We have been to 'Ohana many times, and the food has mostly been great. The only issue I have with 'Ohana is that on two occasions we had horrible service. It was so bad the last time, that I had to complain to the manager. But, for all the other times we went there, the service was fine. Plus, like I mentioned..we really enjoy the food there.

I've eaten at both and in my opinion Cape May is your typical buffet, Ohana offers a little different twist to the meal. Also there is the live entertainment from the singer and the coconut races for the kids.

I would do both!

They are completely different atmospheres & food so its tough to compare.

Ohana - very busy hawaiian atmosphere, entertainment for the kids, possible Wishes view, somewhat limited menu (the same for everyone), lots of yummy grilled meats, bread pudding dessert

Cape May - semi-busy beachy atmosphere, no entertainment, no views, lots of seafood & big buffet food selection, yummy crab legs, not so good dessert other than the oreo bonbons

Both are really good & worth doing if you can do both. But if I had to choose, I would do it based on the menu & atmosphere.

I liked them both. I think Cape May got such high marks from my family because we had 2 boys under 4 at the time and found that a buffet was the best for us. We loved having a seafood buffet that we could just take turns going up to and eating at our own pace. Plus, the kids loved that they put paper on the tables that they could color on. Kept them busy while we ate. Also, we were staying at BC. This would be a great restuarant if you planned on going over to Epcot after.
As for Ohana- food fantastic!! atmostphere fantastic!! only negative, took forever to travel from Beach Club to there.

We have done both and like them equally :thumbsup2. I agree with the pp who suggested doing both if you can ;). Ohana has entertainment while Cape May does not, but they both have great atmospheres and very good food :goodvibes.

I went to both and Ohana was much better!! I'm not a fan of seafood though, and I'm a huge fan of the foods they have at Ohana.
