Trying to decide between Ohana or Cape May for a character breakfast. We haven't been to either. Which one is better?

We've been to both for breakfast, and personally I prefer Cape May Cafe far better than Ohana. Here's some thoughts on each place (also see character meal pictures of the characters in my Oct trip report)

Cape May - has a very good buffet, lots of offerings of hot foods, bread/cereals and fruit/yogart. The decorations are very cheery colors, several booths and tables. Characters are minnie, donald and goofy dressed in beach clothing. Our server was very attentive, the place seemed very lively.

Ohana - serves a family style platter of scrambled eggs, sausage link, breakfast potatoes, bacon, melons and a bread. Characters are lilo, stitch, mickey and pluto dressed in hawaiian shirts and flower leis. The characters do a short parade, inviting kids to join in and they pass out musical instruments to shake/bang. Decor is darker wood tables and hawaiin decorations.

For us, I much prefer a buffet. I thought the food offering at Ohana's was just so-so. But honestly, we were there to see the characters, so the food is second priority. Each place offers different characters and styles, so I would pick the one with the characters that your family likes. And the one that fits into your schedule. Ohana's is good when you plan on going to MK. Cape May is good when you plan on going to Epcot.
