O'hana or Boma??

We love O'hana. The food there is great. We are staying at AKL this trip and are going to do breakfast @ Boma but we won't do dinner there. Last Sept Boma was my most anticipated ADR going into the trip and while I enjoyed AKL and the atmosphere at Boma I have to say the food wasn't for us. I consider us to be pretty exotic eaters, not picky at all but Boma was a little beyond our relm of culinary experiences ;)

I looove Boma. We just ate there last Monday and there were plenty of things that were basic. They had prime rib, seasoned potatoes, whipped sweet potatoes, cornbread, mac and cheese, chicken, salmon, chicken nuggets, soup, fruit and much more. You would have to be a very picky eater to not find something here.

I'd pick 'Ohana over Boma -- but would pick KONA over 'Ohana.

I know, you didn't ask about Kona, but it is truly delicious. For food alone, go Kona. If you want to watch the fun kids' games (ours loved them), go 'Ohana.

I'm going to have to go with Boma in close one. These are two of my favorites.

I have tried both Ohana and Boma, and would hands down recommend Boma, but would never go back to Ohana. I was very disappointed in Ohana-the food quality, the service, and just the overall atmosphere. That being said, I do agree with whoever it is that said Boma was noisy. That would be my ONLY negative about Boma, that the noise level was pretty high. However, I had the same experience at Ohana as well. There were lots of choices and selections at Boma, and I was worried BEFORE we went that I would find nothing to eat, so I was pleasantly surprised!! HTH! :wave2:

I love Bomas. I've eaten there twice. I must say I'm a kinda-picky eater and was afraid I would really dislike all the unique spices however it has become one of my absolute favs. Although I have never tried Ohana.

We will also be on our honeymoon Oct. 8-14th and have already made our ADR for Boma on Oct. 10th. Just can't wait! :goodvibes

I'd say Boma...definitely Boma..especially if you haven't been there before! We did both on our last trip and liked O'hana, but loved Boma! Boma has more variety and AK is an interesting setting. The desserts are much better too!

There is a Texas de Brazil on International drive, and although I love 'Ohana, that Texas de Brazil is in a totaly different league it is so good!

You got that right. Ohana presents meat on a skewer, but that's where the similarities end. Ohana doesn't hold a candle to a good churrascaria.
