Ohana or 1900 Park Fare for breakfast

We have never eaten at O'hana or 1900 Park Fare and need some opinions. Which do you prefer for breakfast and why?

I prefer 1900 Park Fare because there are a lot more food options. You can have your eggs cooked any way you like, whereas Ohana has scrambled egg. I found the characters at Ohana to be very rushed. At 1900, the characters seem to stay with you a bit longer.

However, if you do not like to get up and serve yourself, then go to Ohana. Bottomline, I like 1900 better.

O'Hana = dinner. 1900PF = breakfast.

I love the dinner at O'Hana, but find the breakfast foods too limiting. 1900PF gives a very good array of choices for breakfast.

I hope this helps. Between 6/30 and 7/8 we ate at a table service restaurant only 4 times, and they were all character breakfasts. Here is how I would rank them, but keep in mind that those at the bottom of the list are not getting a negative review. They're just ranked lower.

1.Ohana's - all you can eat served family style. My 2 yo grandson is a big fan of Stitch. Outstanding service from all staff from check-in to paying bill.
Little bit cheaper than the buffets, and I still ranked this the top.

2. Hollywood & Vine. buffet geared toward toddlers and pre-schoolers that feature characters from the shows they watch. Manny, Lil Einstiens. Not sure if school aged kids would like as much, but the 2 yo in our party liked it.
I also like the old time diner atmosphere of the place.

3. Tusker House in AK. buffet. characters move through the tables faster than the other places - be ready. A man will come and give you heads up when they are close and will warn you they just spend about 30 seconds a table. It's not that they don't want to stay, but it's the system they have for such a large place.

4. Chef Mickey. buffet. not what I remembered from a few years back, but still OK. We had a nice table overlooking Bay Lake in a corner of the room, so we had Mickey and company almost to ourselves. Still do the cloth napkin twirl over the head. I felt like I was at a Phillies playoff game.

foodwise i recommend Park Faire, as they have a big selection.
Now if it's characters that are part of the equation, if you have girls then Park Faire might be more appealing as Alice and the Mad Hatter, and Mary Poppins are there. But if you have boys then Ohana.
We did both during our last trip, our son is 14 so one can imagine how thrilled he was with the female characters at 1900. We decided that we had done this breakfast and crossed it off our list and wont return. As for Ohana's, Stitch is one of my favorite characters and he was very engaging with the kids who werent afraid of the costume.
So for us, never again for 1900/ but a most we will do Ohanas again

We are eating breakfast at Ohana's for the first time this trip. We've done Park Fare three times, and always enjoyed the breakfast. My boys loved interacting with Pooh, Tigger and the Mad Hatter (he is the BEST...so funny). They were fine with Alice and Mary Poppins too. Our youngest loves Tigger and Pooh and last time we were at Disney, Crystal Palace was closed, so we went with PF again so he could see those characters.

With your girls and their ages, I think I would choose Park Fare.

Strawberry soup !!!!!! My son wanted us to make ressies there just for that. But they do have a really nice selection there. Also, I love Alice and the Mad Hatter. They are so much fun.

We like them both. We've done 1900 PF several times over the years, but this past November was our first breakfast at 'Ohana. We really enjoyed it quite a bit - while there's less variety than a buffet, the food is delicious and plentiful, especially the pineapple bread. This November, we're replacing 1900 PF for a change - we'll do 'Ohana again and add Cape May Cafe back into the mix - it's been a while for that one and we enjoy the atmosphere.
