Can anyone tell me about this? I am considering booking it for us for next Easter break, but am unsure. I will at that time have with us DH, DS6, and DS2.5.

These are 2 different things.

Ohana...is 1 table service and they have skewers of meat that get served as well as app, salad etc. They have a little "show".....dancing with the kids....

The "Luao" is 2 TS and is a "real" show, with fire and dancing etc. I haven't done the luao so I can't give any more info. It is very popular though. Your kids might be too young to enjoy it though.
I believe this is outdoors.
Both are at the polynesian
Happy planning

Ill be going in june, so if you wanna hit me up then, I can tell you more about it! There is also some video footage of it on that popular video site that "you" can check out!
The only advice Ive gotten about it is that its "cute":confused3 and that its worth doing once..
We're taking 4 kids, so we'll let you know how they liked it!:woohoo:

we did it quite a while ago and didn't care for it...

After a couple of years we decided to try it again.... again...did not like it!

I don't think its worth the money let alone 2 dining credits if your on the dining plan.

I think Hoop De Doo is the better dinner show of the two - by FAR. That might be worth looking into; your kids would enjoy it (I went my first time as a toddler!).

I don't care much for the Luau. It's located at the Poly but is not a restaurant. It's a show that serves dinner.

'Ohana is a restaurant inside the Poly. They will have hula hoop contests and coconut races for kids, and usually has someone singing. It's very informal, not a show at all - more like background music. Very good food, all you can eat, served family style at your table.

ETA: The Luau is called Spirit of Aloha. Here are links:

I prefer the luau to the HDDR any day. HDDR was lame in my opinion. DGF agrees (I'm 29 and she's 26).

HDDR is a better choice IMO for the ages of the kids you listed. My kids like the Luau and had a very nice time....but they are quite a bit older. But given the choice....they still prefer the HDDR over the Luau. Yes, it's cute, cheesy, and worth doing once....but honestly don't know how much your kids at that age would enjoy it.
