We are going to WDW for 7 nights at the end of Aug, and it seems that there are 0 reservations for Ohana that entire time.

Do you think reservations will open up?! We aren't planning on doing many TS, but this is one that i think DH would LOVE (meat on a stick! What else could a guy want?!), so I wanted to surprise him with it!

'OHana may be the MOST popular restaurant in WDW right now. It certainly is one of the hardest ADR's to get, even when they open the booking window at 180 days.
Cancellations do occur all the time. Keep checking on line, all the time, and you may get lucky. But I would advise having an alternative plan.
Good Luck

Spot on~ we have tried for an 'Ohana reservation for the last 3 trips we have taken to WDW and have not been able to get reservations no matter how hard we tried. On our last trip, we even stayed at the Polynesian and couldn't even get a walk-up. Good luck and keep trying if it's important to you!

Thanks for your replies!!! I know its popular, but I wasn't sure if there was a chance of it!

We don't really care about eating TS, so its OK if we don't have a back-up plan, I just wanted to surprise him...I'm sure he would love a bunch of other places as well, that are less popular right now :)

Keep checking online - constantly. I've found that very early mornings seem to be the best time to find elusive ADRs for the most popular places. Ohana is far and away the toughest ADR to get these days - particularly before 9pm. You may find a few ADRs, but rarely before 9:30pm, in which case you likely won't get seated until after 10pm. I'm going at the end of Aug too and made my Ohana ADR at 6am (when the sytem opens up) at the 180 mark, for day 6 of my trip (so 186 days out)...and the earliest I could get was 7:10pm. I've checked often to find an earlier time, but to no avail. If you don't get an ADR by then, you also will want to check more often around early to mid July - the 45 day mark for people going late August.

And oh yeah....you're right. Meat on sticks is absolutely a guy's delight! What more could a guy want? Maybe some bacon included...that's about it.

Keep checking a lot. I sometimes check a few times a day, and was able to get an ohana dinner reservation at 5:30 p.m. at the end of August, just last week.

I couldn't believe it when I saw it! This happened with LeCellier too before it went to 2 credits. I actually got that reservation while I was on vacation and it was for a few days later! Keep trying!!!!

I am also going to in late Aiug and have not been able to get a Ohana reservation, although we are very happy with the ARDs we do have. When it gets much closer to the date you may have better luck as people cancel. Good Luck

I had the same thing happen the week before last. Was checking for days, many times a day. Checked about 6:30 in the morning, nothing. Got to work and checked at 8am and a 5:30 popped up for our last night which is perfect because we want to spend the night in the MK. So definitely keep checking as often as you can thru the day!

I totally agree with this comment. Keep trying...but your best chance to snag an ADR may come as you get closer to your trip.

IMHO one of the reasons it's so hard to get an ADR at places like 'Ohana is that Disney does not do anything to prevent double bookings. So if you think you want to eat at 'Ohana, but you might want to eat at Whispering Canyon....you book ADRs at both places. I don't subscribe to this philosophy, but it does happen.

Keep trying ... and I would say, if you get there and still don't have a reservation, try walking up. We couldn't get a spot at CRT last trip and I (yes, 32-year-old Mom of two boys) really wanted to go. I ended up going up one morning and inquiring, very nicely, about a spot. The woman got us a 1 pm seating, which was in less than 2 hours. I always say, you can't hit if you don't swing :) Worst that could happen is they say no, so then you look around the Polynesian and have dinner at a quick service.

Just keep checking! People do cancel ADR's and you might squeak in, check online till you leave and while your in your room call WDW dinning (its a on all room phones) and ask. The most they can do is say no.

Seems that a whole bunch of 'Ohana times have opened up. I was able to easily move our reservation around. Not sure if it has to do the with the new double booking warning or what but I was very surprised how many times opened up!

I had been checking for sometime the week of Aug 22-31 since the end of march with nothing except after 9 at night. This morning I was able to get 6:25 on the 22 and one for the 27 at 7.There was a bunch of days around 7 with availability arount 8 this morning.Keep checking-last year I got one the week before our trip.

I have been checking since late February to get an earlier 'Ohana ADR. My current ADR is for 8:20pm for 12 people.

I just checked this morning and I was able to find a 7:20 ADR. :thumbsup2:cool1:

So keep checking, something is bound to pop up.

I just posted this on another thread, but keep trying!!!! I have checked for almost 2months for an Ohana dinner in Sept. with no luck. Last week I finally got a 5:05 dinner for the day I wanted. I was shocked! It does happen. Check as often as you can. GL!:goodvibes

I've been trying to get dinner reservations at both of these restaurants for 60+ days. Last Sunday morning I noticed there were 2 time slots at LeCellier which I was able to successfully book AND just this past Thursday I noticed that a whole bunch of time slots opened up at 'Ohanas. We're going near the end of August and the week we'll be there, I noticed that 5:30pm and 6:20 at 'Ohanas were available every day we'll be there. I booked two times. I noticed that within a couple hours all of these time slots were gone. I don't want to go to Cindy's table but I noticed yesterday there was a supper opening on the first day we'll be in Disney...which quickly disappeared. If anyone is wanting to eat a particular restaurant, I would recommend that you continuously check as stuff does become available. Good luck!
