'Ohana Late ADR Question

Is there any benefit to showing up early for our 8:50 ADR for 8 people? I know this restaurant is known for seating you way past your ADR time. Has anyone ever had better luck with showing up on the early side of their time especially with a larger party? Maybe giving them more time to get your table together closer to the actual ADR time?

IMO, there's no real benefit. People are going to be trying to hold their tables for Wishes, and they have fewer tables for large parties as it is, so I'd expect the backup to be pretty long by 9 PM. You'd be waiting however long you showed up in advance + however long it takes for a table to open up.

None. Most restaurants on property won't even let you check in until about 15 minutes before you ADR....especially the more popular ones, which O'hana certainly is.

Ok thanks! I will just keep trying for an earlier time!

Edited to add: We went ahead and booked 2 tables at Kona for an earlier time. I will just keep checking back to see if anything opens up at 'Ohana. Thanks all!!

We have had mixed results showing up early, but we are also a party of 4. We have showed up 20-30 minutes early, only to be seated 20 mins past our ADR and also have showed up 20-30 minutes early and get seated right away. This last trip in March, we had not even been served the drinks we ordered at the bar and were already getting called to be seated. We usually have ADR's around 630-700pm if that helps or matters.
