OHana / Kona Cafe / Tambu Lounge

Can’t get ADR for OHana. Heard about ordering at Tambu Lounge, noodles, pot sticker, wings and bread bread pudding. And it’s like OHana Do they still do that? If the bar is filled, am I still able to order?

I can get a Kona cafe ADR. Should I try. The wings, pot stickers and bread pudding there? Are they same?

Yup. Just did this at Tambu 2 weeks ago. You may have to wait a bit as it gets pretty busy with people waiting for their tables at Ohana but they turn them over pretty quickly. Be prepared to pounce if you see a table or bar seat open up as they tend go quick.

As a for Kona I'm not sure what they serve as I haven't eaten there in a few years..

Kona Cafe does have a couple of the Ohana items. You can look at the menus to see what they have.

Just FYI, when we were there at the end of September, Tambu Lounge was a "wait for a table to become available", there is actually a sign indicating that. Not a free for all hovering over tables waiting for someone to leave and jumping in and grabbing the next table vacated. It was actually kind of nice, more orderly. We waited about 30 minutes and it was a busy night. You can get the wings, potstickers, noodles, and the Ohana desert there, but not to go. If you have leftovers you can take that to go, but they won't do it as a to go order. It was the same wings/pot stickers/noodles as I remember from Ohana. It was good and a much better value than Ohana (at least now).

We did not eat dinner at 'Ohana during our last stay, but we did eat at Kona. We had the pot stickers and they were delicious.

It's been a couple years ago, but we sat at the bar one evening and ordered drinks and noodles.

When we were at Tambu mid-September, there was a sign that said “wait to be seated”.
It was a slower time so we didn’t wait long, but I was surprised at how limited the seating was.
The PiñaColava and pot stickers were really good.

Might be easier to get seating at Kona. The Lounge is VERY limited seating and you have to wait in a line for a spot to empty out. I don't think there is a difference in pricing.

Ohana is about the experience. It is not all about those 3 dishes...which have had varying quality over the years. If you have not been keep an eye for Ohana. If you have a taste for one of the dishes you have had before then Tamu. Kona is a good restaurant all by itself if it appeals. I enjoyed those 3 dishes..but they are not so unique and special to hunt them down at the bar next door just to have them in my opinion.
