Ohana - Kids' Menu?

I am considering trying Ohana for dinner on our next trip, but I have two very picky eaters (DDs 10 and 7). Do they have a kids' menu? (AllEars.net just says that a child's menu is available upon request). If so, what's on it?

Also, since I will be paying the adult rate ($30.99) for my DD who is 10, is it worth it?

If she orders off the kids menu, I would think she'd be charged kids meal price unless you're on the DDP. I don't remember everything on the kids menu, but my kids always get the chicken tenders, I think they have mac and cheese, too. Word of advice, order the kids meals as soon as you sit down because they take a while to cook and you'll be half way done with your meal before they get theirs. Ohana is one we do every trip. We love it!!

Thanks. We're not on the DDP, so it will be OOP.

Chicken tenders and mac n cheese would work for even my picky eaters!

Another question - I saw a prior post about Ohana that said to request to main dining room because that's were the "show" takes place. When do you make that request?

You make the seating request when you arrive for check in at the podium.

In the past, I've noticed kiddos with hot dogs and the mickey pizza's. Not sure if they still offer, but pretty much 'Ohana does have a run of the mill kids menu.

Mention it when you made your ADR, but then also when you check in at the podium! We've had better luck telling them there, but it doesn't hurt to do it when you make the ADR too!!

'Ohana is an all you care to eat meal so I think that the 10 year old gets charged the adult price no matter what she eats.

If you decide to skip it, no big loss in my opinion. 'Ohana was one of the bigger dining disappointments at Disney for my family. We really didn't care for it. And the "show" consisted of a lady singing with a ukelele - it was kind of cute, the kids danced with her. But nothing to get excited over.

We went last Sept. and our server would not bring my 3 yr. old different food. When I asked if she could have something else, he told me she had to eat what was being served. That was our first time there, and since my husband thought it was terrible, will be our last.

You should have asked for a manager as kids (and even picky adults) are able to get alternatives to what's being served. My ds had a hot dog and fries last time. I thought my dd2 would find plenty to eat but our server noticed she wasn't eating much and asked if we would like something else for her - I believe she got mac 'n cheese - and I wasn't charged for it since she was not on the dining plan.

I would have written the exact same thing!:thumbsup2 My picky DS got chicken tenders, but we were still charged the adult price. And 'Ohana was a big disappointment for us, too. The apps and dessert were good, but the meats were very dry and the show just 'eh. We put it in the category of "we tried it, but most likely won't go back".

Hot dogs and pizzas . . . even better for my girls. Thanks.

There is no pizza at Ohana. There is no menu to look at. Ask for kids optons and you'll be given the choices of chicken nuggets, mac n cheese or hot dog. Fries on the side.

There are no hot dogs or pizza at Ohana. We were there last night. My son was able to get a grilled cheese and fries as an alternate..and that was it.

I wish they had an few options for the kids.

I'm very very disappointed with the limited kids menu options in all of the World. I don't expect a whole long menu, but more then three or four items would be nice.

My son ate a hot dog there on 8/20.

I made a request for childrens menu at the podium last june and was told the didn't do that. I then called disney dining and she confirmed they would, but the hostess called over the another lady and she said they do not offer other choices. I did'nt push it, but we had such an awesome server that when he noticed my 6 year old only ate a little salad he brought him fries, so he was happy. I knew I should have just asked the server, instead of listening to the hostess. Just a fyi, that the hostess may not know they offer other choices.
