I'm making my ADRs for October soon and I'm just curious if the construction at the Poly will affect O'hana. This is our first time to dine there. Should I risk the 180+10 reservation or look elsewhere? I know October crowds are lower but I'm a planner :) and would like to avoid surprise changes to our dinning- like last minute reservation changes. Any advice or past experience?

Are you going for dinner or breakfast?

There shouldn't be an issue with construction. The restaurant is in the main building. If they shut that down, they'd probably have to shut the lobby down.

If it's dinner, you'll want to make it right away. I'd suggest making reservations for several days and then canceling it when you finalize your plans. The ADRs do fill up pretty quickly there.

Good luck!

I may be in the minority, but I thought O'hana was overrated. We were there in October last year. It was a night that MNSSHP was going on. Between the screaming children, the waiter calling us "cuz" at least 937 times during dinner and the deafening sound of Hallowishes piped in, it was one of the least enjoyable meals I've had at Disney. The food was decent but to me, not worth having a migraine for the rest of the night. Just my 2 cents:)
