'Ohana for Breakfast

Has anyone done this breakfast lately? What characters are there? We're doing 2 character breakfasts and one character dinner already, but I have always wanted to go to 'Ohana for breakfast....so I may try to fit it in.

Any opinions are welcome! Thank you!!!

This is our favorite character breakfast!

You'll meet Mickey, Goofy, Chip and Dale and they are all wearing cute Polynesian outfits.

The breakfast is delicious...served family style (all you can eat) at your table so you don't have to worry about getting up and going to a buffet. The meal consists of: scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, fried potatoes, Mickey waffles, and pineapple-coconut bread.

We've been to Donald's, Cape May, and Chef Mickey's for character breakfasts too...but Ohana is definitely our favorite.

We haven't been to the breakfast in a while, in fact, last time we went, it was called Minnie's Meneheune Breakfast. I do remember enjoying it though!

We are definitely trying Ohanas for dinner on our first night in October - we've never been for dinner before! I think my little girl will love the hula hoops and coconut races!

I may try to work this in for breakfast too! I like the restaurants that serve "family style"! My DD loves character meals!! (And they do make great photo opportunities!)

I have had many character breakfasts during my 9 trips to WDW, but I have to say that O'Hana was not as good as others I've done. I love the Polynesian and the theming throughout the restaurant. However, I did not care for the actual breakfast. I would prefer a buffet style with more of a variety to choose from. When my family and I ate there 2 years ago they brought the food to you and it wasn't that great. I do love to eat at O'Hana for dinner! It's my favorite restaurant to eat at for dinner If I had to choose a place to eat breakfast I would go with Chef Mickey's or Crystal Palace. The food at both is AWESOME and the Mickey characters are at the Contemporary. It's really a great place to eat. I'm sure though no matter what you choose, you will enjoy! This is just my opinion.

Ohana's for breakfast always seems to be the last activity we do before catching the plane home. I have to say that I really loved the coconut pineapple bread and they have some kind of mixed fruit drink which is also awesome. It's breakfast food which seems to be pretty standard across the board so you can't really go wrong.

My son and I did Ohana at the end of May and we really enjoyed it! The characters were, as mentioned, Goofy,Mickey, Chip and Dale. I like it when the food is brought to you as opposed to a buffet so it was perfect for us. We liked it so much we are going back next time we visit Disney. There is a kid's parade with the characters every half hour or so.

We did Ohana last August and we really enjoyed it. I would ask how many of you there are and what ages. If you have little ones, it is hard to get to buffet lines with leaving someone to watch kids. It's good to have a variety of choices, but because they serve Ohana family style you do not have to get up! Plus, they bring you more of whatever you want. The food was good, hot and plentiful. And we all ate at the same time! (At buffets I'm always the last one done because I hit the buffet line several times filling kids plates, before mine!!)

Here's a preview of the breakfast platter 'Ohana puts out. These babies keep coming until you can't eat anymore!!

We loved this breakfast in early June ! Great food, service and the best interaction we have EVER experienced. 4 thumbs up from this family. We did not want to leave-characters kept coming back to see us and cut up with the kids. This really blew Chef Mickeys away IMHO. I also like them bringing the food to us, so you don't feel nervous about getting up for a buffet and missing something. Even 12 yr old DS joined his younger sister and all the characters in the parade.
OK Scott-you are making me salivate...

Our last time was more than 18 months ago, but we will go again in October.

Pryncess'mom is right that this is a great way to go when your kids are too little to handle their own plates. Or if you are going with someone who is mobility challenged.

I always find buffet food to be - well - slightly gross. Too many fingers near it (in it), too picked over. Granted, they could be sneezing on the skillet back in the kitchen, but at least I don't need to watch the eight year old in line ahead of me actually do it!

That said, we did enjoy the buffet at 1900 Park Faire with the made to order omelettes back Before Children - and will likely head back eventually. And a trip to Chef Mickeys is in the future when the kids are old enough to manage their own plates. We don't do character meals for the food.

Plus they have the BEST coffee. My DH enjoys this buffet the most just because it comes to the table and he does not have to get up, but can still eat as much as he wants.
