Ohana for Birthday?

DH's birthday is OCT 23 the day we arrive at WDW. We are staying at the Poly. We won't go into parks that day but want to plan a special dinner. He really likes kona so I thought about going there at first. Then I wondered if OHana does anything special for birthdays? We have never eaten there before but it seems fun. We are travelling with another family. There will be 4 kids total, thought they might enjoy ohana as well. any feedback would be appreciated.

'ohana is our favorite place to eat in WDW and have done so many times for my birthday. I have gotten a birthday cupcake with candle on most occasions. Also had the singer at 'ohana sing happy birthday. Loads of fun for the kids with different games they play.

1) As far as "special" occasions, most eateries do little.
2) There is simply not enough time to service all the special days.
3) On any given day, there are hundred of b'days, anniversaries, etc.
4) Almost any eatery, including Ohana will
. . . give a birthday cupcake with candle for free
. . . supply a plastic birthday place mat
. . . do a group "Happy Birthday" wish or song
5) Now, at any time, CM's can do nice things.
. . . decorate table with Mickey confetti
. . . give best table location
. . . prepare special personalized menu
. . . autograph some birthday cards
. . . blow up balloons
. . . give gifts for kid's baby teeth
. . . supply free appetizers
. . . supply free 6" podium cake
6) CM's have a lot of leeway.
7) But, if they like you, if they are in the mood, they can make things happen.

Thanks I think we will try Ohana. DH thinks it seems more exciting than Kona for a bday dinner. We can eat at Kona another night.
