I am thinking about an ADR at Ohana for our MK day.

When I went there on my honeymoon (12 years ago) it was quiet and very enjoyable. I am have been back twice hoping to replicate the expereince to no avail, infact one time I was hit in the face with a hula hoop.

Now I have not been back in at least five years and I am wondering what the atmosphere is like today. I have no problems with children but I guess I am curious if there is still alot of running around and games.

We went last Aug, just the 2 of us. Yes, there were children, and yes, they did a song where the children sort of did a conga line thing around the room. But when that was over, it was less chaotic. It's pretty loud in there, but we really really did enjoy our meal. I noticed they sat families by eachother and those that were just adults, seemed to be away from it more. ;)

Thanks for the feedback. If we wanted to view a 9pm Wishes would 7:30 be a good time for an ADR or should I go a little earlier?

They stop the children's entertainment at 9:30. I'd go a little later than 7:30. Then you can watch Wishes and have the majority of your time without the entertainment. The maraca parades are so loud you can't even talk to anyone at your table.

To minimize the noise and chaos, request a table away from the entertainment area. It's not just the parade that gets noisy, the entertainer can get loud and guests tend to be more boisterous than other restaurants. My family didn't care for Ohana, mostly due to the noise level. We didn't mind the noise and activity levels at Chef Mickey, Whispering Canyon Cafe or Crystal Palace, but Ohana was simply over the top.

'Ohana is my and the DH's favorite restaurant in all of Disney. Both times that we have been, we were seated in the same area, and though we were close enough to see the entertainment, it definitely didn't bother us at all.

We were there last week on our disneymoon - we were seated at a table right across from the fire pit - which we really liked. Although there seemed to be a bit of action going on around us with the children, it didn't really bother us. And we LOVED the food. We cannot wait to go back.

Our ADR was for 7:00 and we were out of there by alittle after 8? So 7:30 should be fine for 9:00pm Wishes.

DH & went on our last trip and enjoyed it. We had a seat by the window so we got to see the sun go down and lights come up on MK and the resorts. The view was beautiful. The food was good (we like the apps better than the skewers!) but we did find it loud during the kids activities and conga line. We would definitely go back - but now a place for a quiet evening for two.
