Ohana & fireworks

We have 7pm ressies at Ohana. MK fireworks are at 10. I figured with a potential delay in getting seated, we can finish dinner and maybe grab a drink at a lounge/trader Sam's after dinner and hang around until the fireworks. What is a good location to see the fireworks at the Poly? We used to go to the beach but I heard with the bungalow construction that's not a good viewing spot anymore. Otherwise we might be better off just heading back to the GF and watching from somewhere around there?

Also, we have CG ressies at 8:50 on arrival day. The plan is to watch Wishes from the balcony and head to the park after for EMH. Would it be reasonable to think that we will be in the parks by 10:30? We weren't planning on lingering at dinner and we'll probably order a couple of apps and an entree to share, watch the fireworks and walk down to the park.

What's the best way to get into MK at that time of the night and not get trampled by the masses trying to exit the park?

Best place to view Wishes away from MK? should give you some good non-MK viewing spots. The Poly is just a walk away from the TTC and the map shows you where to go if you choose the GF.

As far as California Grill, I'd order the apps and entree to come out together if I didn't want to linger. In the parks by 10:30 sounds completely unreasonable to me; close to 10:30 might be possible. I'm just thinking Wishes starts at 10, lasts about 20 minutes and it takes about 10 minutes to walk from CR to MK entrance under normal circumstances...the masses leaving MK after Wishes are not really normal circumstances and that's not counting getting down to the lobby from the restaurant or park entry(not long but those couple of minutes here and there add up).

The best way that I know to not get caught up in the mass would be to wait longer for it to clear out, but that cuts into park time. Hopefully, someone who's done this before can chime in with some better suggestions!

Oh no I'm bummed about the construction. We used to sit on the dock & watch them after Ohana. There was no one there! So relaxing after stuffing our faces at dinner
