Ohana/Fireworks from POLY?

Someone else's post made me think of this question-

If we have 6:45 Ohana ADR, will we be able to see Fireworks from the POLY beach that evening? Our ressie is for Saturday Nov. 14 if that makes a difference.

I've never stayed at POLY or eaten at Ohana's so I apologize if this is a dumb question.

We ate at O'hana last week and had an 8:30pm ADR and Wishes was at 10pm and we watched it from inside the restaurant and they piped the music in from Wishes -it was great! You will definitely be able to watch them on the beach, check the schedule for park hours and make sure you know what time Wishes will be that night and be on the beach at that time.

You should be able to either see Wishes from the beach or from Ohana itself. The better beach to see the fireworks is the one nearest the Luau Cove.

From my experience, the entire restaurant dims and the music is piped in for Wishes. Most everyone stands and moves toward the windows to see Wishes. Tables by the window can be deceiving - we once had a window table that had an obstructed view of Wishes. Once, the restaurant did not dim and did not pipe in the music. I think that has been stopped due to guest demand.

We are going that same night! I am hoping to watch Wishes from the Poly beach. Our ADR is for 6:15 and I thought we would arrive at 6 and hope for the best since I am alittle worried about getting out by the start of the fireworks at 8. It is good to know that they pipe the music into the restaurant just in case. See you at Ohana's!

We were at Ohana last friday to eat, OMG it was so good, I have been many times but this time was exceptionally good. It was DD25, DSIL, and DGS3's first time and they all loved it. They tried for Sunday night and couldn't get in.

What I did notice is how much of the view is now obstructed by trees. You used to have a clear view from the bar area window and now just a small hole is unobstructed. So I recommend watching from the beach. We had a table for 8 in the right corner and only 1 of us could see the Cindy's Castle.

Yeah! See you there! I'm very excited about this. DH & the kids love fireworks. I didn't know that we could see them from Ohana until I started reading this board. This place is GREAT!
