Since Mickey is no longer going to the tables at chef mickeys, we are looking for alternative character meals where Mickey still visits the tables.

We have one to 'Ohana's breakfast for our past two trips, and yes, Mickey does come to the table. Besides that, 'Ohana's breakfast is one of our absolute favorites! We wouldn't miss goofing around with Stitch, and the food is pretty darn good! Hope you enjoy it!

MIckey does come to the tables. We tried this last year for breakfast and it was so worth getting up a little early. The food was great, real Kona coffee and the characters came around twice to our table. We're going back again this year :-)

Is this something in the future??? Cause Mickey came to our table at CM during bkfast & later in the week during dinner the a couple weeks ago.

The last time we had breakfast at Tusker House in AK, Mickey was one of the characters who came around to the tables. However, when we were there, Donald still came around too, and I've heard that he is now relegated to entrance photo duty there, the same thing they're doing with Mickey at CM.

We actually went to Tusker House to see Daisy there, as our daughter is a big Daisy fan. I don't know if that would be a draw for you or not, but we really did enjoy the meal as a whole there. (Note: Characters there at breakfast only.)

Oh no! I didn't like it when they changed TH and had Donald outside. Now CM has Mickey standing somewhere outside the restaurant too.

Probably another time and cost cutting measure.

Part of me doesn't mind too much, as long as we can use our own camera too and getting a photo with the host character is not dictated by whether or not I am willing to part with an extra $30 for the privilege. However, the down side of this is that the photos are going to come out like a nicely themed meet & greet picture, whereas I like photos of the characters at the tables as they are different and it adds some variety to the setting. Oh well, I can't complain. As my daughter gets older there will be fewer character meals in the mix.

On the plus side, at least if you are worried about missing the main character when getting food from the buffet, this will eliminate that concern.

I can't see Mickey being taken out of the rotation at 'Ohana. I think if they were going to pull a character for a photo op out front at 'Ohana it would likely be Stitch (since it is "his" breakfast).

'Ohana is really our favorite character breakfast - we like it much better than CMs.
