We have ADRs for 'Ohana at 8:25PM. In our previous experiences here, we have never been seated less than 30 minutes after our reservation, meaning it is likely we would not have a table until 9:00PM. We also have a 6, 4 and 2 year old and I would rather not be THAT family with the sleeping kids at the table.

If we showed up at 4:30PM and asked to be seated early, what are our chances of getting a table? Or, what is the earliest before an ADR that you can show up and reasonably expect to get a table?

FWIW, we had an ADR with a reasonable time, made 180 days out, but the school break was rescheduled, taking our trip with it.

Totally depends on what bookings are like the day you go. It is possible you could show up early and they can't seat you at all until your reservation time. It's also possible there could be a long wait.

I think it is unlikely that if you showed up at 4:30 you would get seated that early. You are almost in the "pool" of people looking for walk ups at that point.
If there was a table available you would be able to book it.

Keep checking during your trip for things to open up. I was able to get into places that were booked solid months out, but I got in by checking while we were actually in Disney.

I agree that you should keep checking online for reservation availability for your trip. I managed to snag a 5:20 Ohana for our party 7 a couple weeks ago.

The last time we ate at 'ohana in March 2011 we had a 5p reservation and showed up around 4:30p. By 4:45p the line for early seating and walk-ups was almost to the doors leading out to the monorail. I was suprised at how many people were waiting so early but maybe that is the norm now. If you decide to chance it by going early you might want to go super EARLY to avoid the big line. Such a bummer to stress over reservations on vacation but I'm right there with you!:grouphug:

We had a 6:35 ADR at O'hana's just a couple of weeks ago. We tried to check in 30 minutes early since we had arrived early to the Polynesian. They said to come back to check in no sooner than 10 minutes before our reservation. So I doubt that they will check you in 3 hours before your ADR. At least this was our experience.
