Ohana dessert

We went to Ohana about 4 years ago and for dessert we had fresh fruit and dipping sauce. I don't see that on their menu anywhere? Is bread pudding the only option? I'm so confused!

I was there in February and it was bread pudding...allears.net shows bread pudding with bananas and caramel sauce. When I was there two years ago, it was bread pudding, too...I've never seen fruit with dipping sauce there but it sure sounds yummy!

It was so yummy!!! I can't figure out if they ran out of bread pudding (lol), changed the menu or if I'm losing my mind! I hope someone can help!

The pineapple with caramel dipping sauce was the previous dessert. They did change the menu several years ago, and bread pudding is all they offer now. I've heard wonderful things about it, so hopefully it won't disappoint. Still, I know how you feel - we LOVED the pineapple and caramel sauce. YUM!

Yes, the bread pudding and ice cream is very good and the last time we were there (in May), it came with a banana sauce that you could put on it.

Before this...we disliked bread pudding. It was Amazingly delicious!

Can you tell we LOVED the dessert? SO much that we asked and recieved the recipe. Guess what we are having for the Holidays!

Yay! I wasn't losing my mind! We loved the pineapple and caramel sauce so much! It was so refreshing after such a big meal. Thank you for clearing this up for me!

Yes, I prefer other types of desserts... bread pudding is a great way for restaurants to control cost and reduce waste, especially when a large amount of food is prepared in a centralized commissary.

If you really really want the pineapple and caramel ask to see the chef....if you beg nicely and tell him it was a wonderful meal he will bring you some if asked. It's DH's fav.

I just ate at Ohana last night and the bananas foster was as good as always and they also gave us an extra bowl of ice cream. I don't remember them doing that last year.

I do know that if you have a medical condition or allergy you can ask for an alternative dessert. I don't know if you can do that just out of preference. You can try asking for fresh fruit, but I don't know the likelihood that you'll get pineapple with caramel.

I think the pineapple has been gone since about 2005 It was so delicious! But the bread pudding is good too.

The bread pudding with bananas foster sauce was REALLY good when we had it last year. I'm not a fan of bread pudding either (especially with all those other great desserts) but it was excellent. My kids loved it too. Its just warm, yummy, banana-y goodness with a dash of cold vanilla ice cream on the side. Can you tell I'm dreaming of my ADR coming up soon!!
