Ohana Character Breakfast or Boma Dinner?

:confused3I have both planned for the same day and realized I really should cut one out. Here are the factors I am considering:

We love character meals and we especially love Stitch.
We like the atmosphere of Ohana but have never tried the breakfast.

We have ate at Boma for dinner and really enjoyed that as well.

If we do the breakfast, we will probably miss rope drop at Animal Kingdom (although my ressie is for 7:30 AM) and we always try to make rope drop. :guilty:

Has anyone done both? Which would you recommend? :confused3

Thanks!!

We've done Ohana breakfast many times and have always loved it!:goodvibes If your ADR is for 7:30am, maybe plan to get there at least 20 minutes early (are you staying at the Poly?). I'd guess that if you were seated on time, asked for your check after your server brings your drinks that you could possibly make rope drop. Possibly. It would depend too on how quickly the buses come for AK. IMO, Ohana breakfast is a must do (for our family anyway!). Even if we arrive at AK a little later than planned, that's ok with us. This is one of our favorite breakfasts! One trip, we ate here twice for breakfast.:thumbsup2 If you love Stitch, don't miss this one. He is sooo funny! He kept pretending to drink all of my DH's coffee and then kept hiding my daughter's autograph book!

As far as Boma, we've only done the breakfast there which was fabulous!:thumbsup2 I've heard that dinner is more exotic though. So I guess I'm no help here then!

To be honest it's hard to choose because we love both. The food at Ohana's is average for breakfast, the bread and juice are excellent the cooked just ok but the characters are amazing.

However, my favourite buffet style meal at WDW is Boma, love the salads, the meats and the hummous and don't even get me started on the desserts.

Whichever one you choose you will have a wonderful time.

Boma is a must-do for every trip. Although I've never eaten Ohana breakfast, I feel that breakfasts are never worth the money.

Well, maybe I will just keep both ressies and skip lunch that day! :rolleyes1We just love Stitch and since we are staying at Poly this time we should do this breakfast while we can! And Boma is so delicious. My dh doesn't want to miss it! My boys loved the different kinds of hummus!

Disney decisions are so hard!

We loved our breakfast at O'Hana last September. We stayed at the Poly also. The characters were great and the meal didn't take alot of time.

No one in our party of 7 really liked Boma for dinner. The food was pretty disappointing. We don't plan on going back this trip, but will do O'Hana for dinner instead.

We're not big Lilo & Stitch fans, and we find the food @ Ohana just average breakfast buffet stuff without the buffet. Food @ Boma is different than what you'll find most anywhere else...one of our must-do spots every year. If you are planning on DAK that day, why not consider Tusker House?

While I have never been to Boma, I can HIGHLY recommend the Ohana breakfast. We went there this past September, and it was our favorite breakfast of the week! The character interaction was top-notch - Pluto, Stitch, Mickey, and Lilo spent a great deal of time with my kids (DD-7 and DS-1) and interacted even with the adults at the table. I was extremely pleased with the time they spent with my infant son - so many times that week at character meals he was ignored. It just meant a lot to me to see him so happy squeezing Pluto's nose and giving Mickey a high-five!

Also, the food was good! We received a basket of pineapple bread, then a platter of fruit. Next the "hot platter" of sausage links, scrambled eggs, bacon, and breakfast potatoes - hot and yummy! Finally Mickey waffles - delicious! We were offered seconds on all items, and we did have more waffles. Service was great. Can't recommend it enough. Hope you have a great time!

Ohana breakfast is one of our favorites - a "must do" for us - love the polynesian atmosphere, good food served family style & great character interaction (Stitch & Pluto are very entertaining!). We tried Boma dinner last year and did not care for it at all - too many flavors of Africa type foods for us.

Loved Ohana breakfast, great food and fun...didnt like the food or chaos at Boma dinner at all
