'Ohana breakfast...which day?

Looking for some insight...we are doing a four day trip to Disney. We live in Tampa, fl and are driving to wdw.

My question should we do 'Ohana breakfast before Epcot or on checkout day? My kids are 4 and 2, so rides at Epcot are not top priority. It's only a 45 minute ride back to Tampa but I didn't know if it would be a better experience during the trip or a nice parting on our checkout day? TIA!

I'd do checkout day to make the most of your last day.

I like eating at the resort Im staying at on our last day. It allows for some extra pool time, packing time and last minute shopping in the gift shops before the 11am check-out. Not sure where you are staying, but maybe Ohana would be better on the Epcot day...unless you are staying at the Poly!!

We enjoy doing our character meals before going to a park. It kind of gets our brains into "fun" mode! Plus, we can over eat all we want because we're about to walk it of at the park!!

We've tried to do the last day character buffet on many trips, especially to disneyland, and we always inevitably cancel them the day before. We too thought it would make the last non-park day more magical, almost like the park experience but at a restaurant without having to pay for a park ticket. But, after X amount of days of buffets, huge meals, more desserts and sweet treats than we usually eat in a month - by that last day the thought of one more buffet makes us wanna hurl a little. Our last day, my wife usually makes me get some QS breakfast at our resort, bring it back to the room and eat it in bed!!

My answer would depend on where you're staying.

Our personal preference is to do a late character breakfast on our departure morning. We get up and finish our packing have a big breakfast, use our hoppers to visit anything we HAVE to do again, make one last stop at World of Disney then head out. Unfortunately our drive home is about 9 hours so we usually end up stopping half way because we always stay too long on our departure day because we can't bear to leave!
