7:30 ADR for breakfast, will probably want interaction with the characters (one of the reasons why we are going there, along with the good reviews I've read on here), but do I have any shot to make it to DHS by rope drop at 9am?

FWIW, we are off-site on that day so will be drivng to Polynesia and then to DHS.

Not really.

And rope drop at the Studios (to be at the front of the pack if that's your plan) really means arriving by 8:30 at the latest.

'Ohana breakfast should take an hour (or more - we've been there 1.5 hrs before to see all the characters). I would say based on past experience, and then you would have to add in driving/parking/walking time to the entrance. I think you would be lucky to arrive AT 9 a.m., which at DHS, if basically missing the benefits of rope drop.

You could be luckier since you have an early reservation, but I would consider it a bonus, not something I would plan on.

You'll have a little more leeway since you are driving, but you might feel like you have to rush your breakfast, which won't be good for the character interaction.

If your goal is to ride TSM with minimum wait at rope drop, you may not make that, as by the time you arrive you'll be in the back of the pack. If you just want fastpasses, you should be able to get fastpasses for a later return time (unless you're there on a really busy day like Christmas Eve or something)

it's difficult to know how rushed you might be without knowing your goals for DHS rope drop.

I don't think you'll make RD. Maybe get there a few mins after. We did Ohana breakfast and felt it took a while. It took a while for the waitress to get to us and then for the skillet to come out, and then for the waffle guy to come over. Minnie and Lilo came over quick but we left without seeing Stitch or Mickey. They were way on the other side of the restaurant. FWIW, this was our least favorite character breakfast - $50 for the two of us to get basic bacon, eggs and sausage. Truly paying for Lilo & Stitch here. We felt the character breakfast buffets had a much better selection and were faster since they were buffets. BUT if you are Lilo & Stitch fans, this will be the only character breakfast with them.

I found a ADR for dinner that same day!! So I switched it to dinner even though it'll be real late at 21:55. With Fantasmic at 20:00 that day, I have an hour + to get from DHS to get to Polynesia, I'm assuming that's more than enough time?

Btw, I have read the 'Ohana is one of the more desired dinner places within WDW, is that true?

Should be, if you are driving.

Yes, it is true. 'Ohana dinner is currently the single most popular dining reservation at WDW. As the characters were your main reason for booking the breakfast, you should note there are no characters at dinner.

I'll manage to get character interactions in elsewhere with other meals, can't pass up Ohana from what I've read. :yay:
