I had originally planned to do 'Ohana at 10:30 as we aren't SUPER early morning people. I figured we could get to a 10:30 without much wailing and gnashing of teeth. HOWEVER, I am now thinking an early (7:45) might be a better option. We could eat and then get out and to the parks. Then head back to the condo in the afternoon and rest to make up for the earlier morning. We don't have super small kids (four kids 7-15) and all of them get up at 6-6:30 during the school year with minimal problems. So it wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility to get up at 6:30 and to the restaurant by 7:30 (since we'd only have to dress and leave vs eating/dressing/leaving during school year.)

I am already considering swapping Chef Mickey's dinner for a Cape May breakfast (7:45) on another day. So that is only 2 days we'd have a very early morning and they are two days apart so not back to back.

WWYD - eat early and try to make it to the parks closer to opening or try to do a ride at a rope drop and then go to a brunch?

JMO, but I think I would do early. You will waste lots of time going to MK first, then going to Ohana, then going back to MK. Ohana opens at 7:30...maybe you could be there when it opens and you could still make rope drop (if it's at 9am). Like you said, you can always go back for a nap in the afternoon. Hit the parks when it's less crowded;)

I'd definitely suggest early, too. We had 7:30am ADRs at Ohana in January and again earlier this month. We were seated immediately both times and the service and characters came quickly because it wasn't very busy yet. We easily made it to MK before the opening show started at 8:50am and walked on several rides for the hour or so after rope drop. We started collecting fastpasses, used them, and then headed back to our resort in the afternoon.

Happy Planning, OP! :wizard:

Thanks. 7:45 was the earliest I could get for 'Ohana or Cape May. Will 15 minutes throw us off schedule that much? We can still be there by 7:30 so would there be a chance they'd seat us early if they aren't crowded? I will go with the earlier breakfasts, it did sound like a lot of running around to try to make a later one.

We arrived early for our ADR and they let us in within 5 minutes (about 15 minutes before our original plan). It is a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere, I think you will love it! We found it to be our most pleasant character breakfast experience and will be our first choice every trip.

We're going there for breakfast for the first time when we go in August and got a 9:25 ressie. I wish it was earlier, but MK has EMHs that morning starting at 8, so I'm hoping we can hit the park at 8 and have almost an hour to see some stuff before scooting over to Poly for breakfast.
