Me again! 'Ohana is great. The atmosphere is wonderful - it's noisy but fun! There are games (hula hooping and coconut racing) for children and the food is all-you-care-to-eat family style. They bring the meat over on huge skewers and carve it right at your table. There is shrimp, beef, pork and turkey. The cocktails are delicious too - especially the Lapu Lapu! I would highly recommend that you give it a try. The restaurant has a great view over Seven Seas Lagoon as well - perfect for watching WISHES.

We loved it! Here's part of my trip report with it in. Be aware I think the menu has been amended slightly since I ate there.

We had a lovely drink in the Tambu Lounge while waiting for our table to become free at 'Ohana. It seemed pretty busy in ‘Ohana tonight and there was lots going on in the Poly, with dancing and singing from the CMs. It was a lovely place to relax and soak up the atmosphere and the pain from the cold was beginning to numb now! This may have had something to do with the rather strong cocktail I sampled, however.

We were called to our table and it was a lovely one, with views of the Poly gardens (complete with torches) and with the castle in the background. What better setting could there be for a meal?

The food was amazing. The appetizers were wolfed down and soon we had the skewers (can something this big be called a skewer?!) of juicy, tender meat. We had turkey, steak, pork and prawns and the dipping sauces made the perfect accompaniment. The atmosphere was buzzing in here (read: Loud) with applause for birthdays and lots to look at. The girls had a ball with the coconut race and I must confess we had a go too! I’m sure I would have won if I were allowed to use the broom end of the stick It was a bit of a melee when the adults raced, with brooms and coconuts going in all directions. This is definitely not the place for an intimate meal for two but we thoroughly enjoyed it. The pineapple with caramel dipping sauce was a nice ending to the meal.

That looks great, we have ADR for this in Dec.

We thought we would do resort dinning as well as the normal theme park dinning.

I am really looking forward to this, checking out other resorts, expecially the xmas decorations

We ate there in 2003 and have just made an ADR for December.

The menu has just changed slightly. The fried rice has been replaced by cheesey potatoes, the green beans have been replaced by stir fried veg., there is a new shrimp starter also. The jumbo shrimp on the skewers have been replaced with sausage!

Current cost is $24.99 adults, $10.99 children (under 10). This includes tea, coffee or soda.

It's not strictly a buffet becasue you don't leave you seat - unless you fancy coconut racing or hula-hooping

Starters are placed on a lazy Susan in the middle of your table. As you are eating the starters the main courses are brought round on large 3 foot skewers and served onto you plate. You can have a little or as much of each main course meat as you like. The server will come round with refills quite a few times

This will depend on the day you want to go. Wishes is on at various times during the year, and some days at quieter times is not on at all
It will also be pot look whether you get a table where you can see the fireworks.
Another option would be to have an early dinner and then watch Wishes from the Poly. beach, with a nice cocktail in hand

I love ohana, even with the changes and the potatoes I can't eat . Actually, I think on many occasions the resort dining is better than in the parks.

You can make an ADR (new title for PSs) upto 90 days before you want to dine. Or, if you are staying at a Disney owned resort you can call 90 days before your arrival date at the restort and book 10 days worth of ADRs in one go
