I watched a disney wedding special on travel channel and the grooms dinner was at Ohana...and my mouth was watering BIG TIME. We're going on a bit of a budget this year so were only going to one nice dinner meal during our stay...so anyone have any opinions on this place? 104 hours til we take off for Disney!

DD12 and I watched that special also - she wants to get married there now LOL Anyway, we went to Ohana last July and it was everyone's favorite! We will definitely go back. The food, atmosphere, our waitress Margie, the view, the fun...just a fabulous place!

HAHA...After seeing that wedding, I hope you/your husband have GREAT careers to afford that wedding...but whoa, that wedding was cool. I thought the tea party was crazy cool. Thanks for the info on Ohana. 103 hours til CSR!!!! whoohoo!

Ohana's is great! Tons of good food and alot of fun. I remember one of the meats was alittle tough but all good!

We went there last summer and the atmosphere was nice and fun for the kids, but our food, every single skewer of meat or shrimp we got all evening, was WAY overcooked. Dry, almost burnt and some were burnt, just awful.

I want to go back, thinking this was a fluke, but I'm afraid to fork out the moola ! :p

That's funny b/c my friend wouldn't eat the steak b/c it was too rare! I guess it depends on teh night. I love rare steak so I had a blast. Also the shrimp and wings appetizers are to die for, imho. We just went in March and the menu was a lot different from August 2004 which was the last time we were there. i'm tempted to go back in aUgust. DS4 had fun with the coconuts too.

Have fun! :)

Great restaurant!! One of our favorites. They changed the menu somewhat last year, but it is still great. I'd definitely recommend going.

We went in October and I loved it. I thought the food was great, the view was wonderful and the atmosphere fun.
If you haven't yet done it, call ASAP and make an ADR if you decide to go. You may find that you can't get a reservation at this late date.

thanks everyone for your input! im sold...i just got off the phone with disney...we have our seating for this wednesday night! thanks again. 90 hours til CSR!! :woohoo:

We loved Ohana! The only thing I would change is the meat skewers. The beef was perfect...cooked medium to medium rare every time...I'd be happy if this were the only meat they had. The turkey and pork was extremely dry and the sausage I just didn't care for. I don't need any of those to enjoy this place. I'm a beef and pork eater and the pork really was okay. Everything else was awesome! I could have been rolled out of there. I think you'll really enjoy it!

Ohana, IMO, is not a good choice for your one nice TS meal. We found it to have poor quality food, particularly the meats, and loud, off-key entertainment. We had two 9-year-olds with us. They liked the hula hoop stuff. Nonetheless, we would not go back.

We are somewhat budget minded, so we chose 'Ohana as our wedding dinner (we're getting married August 10th). Also, we wanted a place wherer we could feed 20 people at a time for close to 500 dollars too. Everyone is on their own for the alcoholic drinks, but my parents are paying for the meal as her mom paid for the invitations and announcements. We're getting married at the Wedding Pavilion at 2pm if anyone wants to see us as we jet for the limo...lol

:woohoo: This is my first ADR I am making when I can, the reviews are awesome on Ohana..I hope its as good as everyone is saying..

We love it .....go every trip.....even with the menu changes it's still a family favorite fro t his group.

I love 'Ohana! We had dinner there for the first time last Nov and it was great! I say go for it :cool1:

That wedding was 500,000.00 dollars. Ohana's is well worth the money and a lot of fun enjoy.

The only thing to add is to show-up hungry and don't snack before your dinner with your lunch many hours (5+) before to take in the full Ohana experience.
