'Ohana at 8PM. Need to get there really early?

This will be good to know since I have a ressie at 8 in April. My guess would be a half hour early couldn't hurt, and you may get seated early... however, it might not matter and you could be waiting past your time. I'm interested in hearing what people say too.

It varies. In October we did breakfast and dinner at 'Ohana. We had a 7pm ressie and had no issue with the check-in line. I like to be prepared though and we were there at 6:15. You just never know!

We plan on getting there early because we like to walk around the Poly.
But how early is what I'd like to know.
I was hoping not to have the long line like we had when we had a 5 PM ADR! :scared1:
Line was past the gift shop and almost out to the Monorail!

Ive been twice, both times the line has been fairly busy. I'd show up half and hour in advance:) you can always just browse the giftshop while waiting! :)

Ugh! We were thinking about a 5pm ADR at Ohana when we are there in Oct., on the night that we wanted to do MNSHHP. A ridiculous line doesn't sound good at all!

What is the check in line like at 'Ohana at 8 PM?

I was there for an 8pm reservation in December, and the line to check in was not busy. The line when the restaurant first opens can be a zoo, but at 8pm, I would say the place doesn't have as many people waiting.
