hi everyone, just booked O'hana . curious though i read somewhere that they do limbo, coconut races and hula lessons? in the restaurant? is there a certain age for the kids to join in? my dgd is 3. thank you

Anyone can join in. They do it in the restaurant, through the restaurant. They will announce when they are doing it and then your DGD (adults too!) can join in.

we ate there in april 2010 and none of the above happened, we were informed the coconut races had ended due to safety reasons. not sure if its started back up or not.

Went in December 2010. It's more like a parade/konga line and dancing around the restaurant with the characters at certain times during each seating. All are invited to participate, especially small children. :)

We've been twice 2008 and 2010 both times it was just a long line, around the restaurant with maracas and all the characters. My DDs LOVED it both times, the last time we were lucky enough that my DDs walked with Lilo and played with her the entire time. We highly recommended Ohana...it has created amazing memories for our family!

Just so you know though that Lilo and Stitch are only their in the morning. Dinner is not a character breakfast. Both meals are served family style. The last time we went there wasn't any coconut races. There was music and dancing. I remember that the children were asked to bring up someone that they loved and I believe (if memory is right) we stood face to face and danced and were taught some Hawaiian words????. My DH didn't really care for it, but that is because we were a family of 3 and were seated at a 2 top practically in the isle. Every time the people went by dancing they were really way to close. The next time it will be just me and DD, so I think we will give it another try.

ate here in October 2011 and they had both the coconut races and the conga line. Fun stuff for the kids! They had some other stuff too...maybe limbo and hula hoops? Memory is short :)

We ate there in December 2010 and have pictures of my DD and niece with their coconuts after the races. :goodvibes All of the fun stuff took place on the opposite side of the restaurant from our table. My DH and BIL went with the older girls while SIL and I stayed at the table with the two babies. I didn't get to see anything! But DD had a fantastic time and requested Ohana again for our next trip.
