What time do you think I should make my ADR's for these 2 meals in order to be at the opening of MK? Will I make the opening at all? (This is assuming that MK opens at 9:00am...it's in late June.)

We've never seen the opening with the characters coming in on the train. We've always gone on EMH mornings when they don't do that and thought this would be a nice treat. :sunny:

I would make it at 7. This way you will have plenty of time to eat and enjoy the festivities, then get to the park early enough to see what goes one. At O'hana's you will want to make sure you have time for the kids to do the dancing around the room. At Chef Mickey's even with a PS you may have to wait a few.

They might not open until 7:30, but you would still have time to eat and make it to the MK before 9am.

Why don't you make your reservations for as late as possible for breakfast, and treat it as a lunch (and just eat a little something in your room or at the hotel's snack bar for breakfast)? That way you can sleep a little later, and can be sure that you won't miss the opening. Also it would be a nice break from the heat. This is what we do when we eat at Chef Mickey's, and we usually get 11:20 reservations, just right for lunch.

Have fun!!!

I made an ADR for 'Ohannas a few days ago for our Dec trip and was told they don't open until 7:30am. I made the ADR for 7:50am. I also have an ADR for Chef Mickey' at 7:50am the day before.
