Ohana ..alternative selections for children

Just looking at the menu on allears for Ohana, and I noticed that it says "Short Child's Menu Available Upon Request" Does anyone know what this would be, and is there a different cost to it? We have some picky eaters in our group so I am interested in the options.

I've been reading a lot about 'Ohana and I saw a lot of people got mac & cheese for free. But I haven't been, just my research on these boards.

We had the option of hot dogs or chicken fingers. They don't bring out a kids menu, they just tell you what they have. I've seen it vary somewhat - sometimes it's hot dogs or grilled cheese or peanut butter and jelly...You'll usually get two choices, maybe three. Like PP mentioned, they will bring you a huge plate of mac and cheese. Plus there's bread and noodles...Your kids should be able to make a meal of something. I can't comment on cost, we're on the DDP, so I didn't take note, but in other restaurants, similar offerings are usually in the $15 range...

I was wondering the same thing, my 4 year old does not like variety in his diet, to say the least. I have found simply asking for something else, they could usually find it. Spoodles in particular was very accomodating. Another alternative is to go buy something at Captain Cooks.

we have been there many times.they will bring your little one something else but it was never free for us,it was always the fixed child price.

Our waiter brought out chicken tenders and fries for the kids. He offered that and I believe a hot dog. Whatever Captain Cooks serves I believe the kids can get to eat.

DD's gave the food at Ohana a shot but they're picky and didn't really care for it so they brought them out burgers and fries. I think anything that's on the kids menu from Kona is available.
