I was mourning the fact that no pin code was coming my way, especially seeing how many others were finding their Pixy luck in their email. :sad2:

But after some continued stalking on this message board the past couple of weeks, I came across some posts about Magical Vacations. I sent a quick email last night to Lisa and low and behold, I just booked my Disney trip to the Poly for 43% off the rack rate (Only $202/night)!!!!!! Whoo Hooo!
:cheer2:

On the front page of the travel agent website, they had several dates throughout the year that they were offering special rates, primarily for the Polynesian, but apparently they have some for other resorts as well (I didn't ask about other places since I want to stay at the Poly). I currently had a ressie at the Poly for Dec 5-12 booked through disney at AAA rate. Since my dates were in one of the windows advertised on their website, I emailed to ask about them. Boy, was I surprised when it was so great! Now I just need to cancel my original ressie I made directly with Disney.:thumbsup2

careful - there are NO discounts other than codes or AAA for the general public.

Other of these so called discounts have 'strings' attached such as a time share visit, or non-refundable, or fly-by-night...

Currently, there are some discounts but only till march for room only, depending on the season can be as low as $154 on a deluxe...

We booked last week and this offer is only with this particular travel agency. We have a reservation confirmation they sent to us from Disney which confirmed our rate and information.

Yippeee! We're going to Disney ! Is anyone else going in May?:beach:

I'm not allowed to post website addresses until I have 10 posts on this message board, so I recommend putting "Magical Vacations" into google or other internet browser and it comes right up.

There are no strings to this offer about timeshares, etc...and I can cancel with no penalty up until 5 days before I leave. I had to leave the same deposit (1 night room rate with taxes).

This is a Disney authorized travel agency.

I was just quoted a lil over $232 for the same time frame...did yours include the tax?

We're doing 4 nights at the Polynesian from May 9-13. We have a garden room and the rate for 4 nights was $945.00. Really good deal and I am hoping the hubs and I can go in December because they had really good rates then too. I will have to get another job to help support my Disney addiction !

I just checked it out. It says "contact us for our terms and conditions". I wonder what all that consists of?

This is a VERY reputable Travel Agency. It is not a timeshare. They have been in business for a long time.

What they have done is bought a block of rooms at a discount and are re-selling them. They are able to make a minor profit and you get a discount. You can book other rooms too. Just like Orbitz and Expedia, and the 'strings' are similiar.

Can I ask what dates you are traveling? I see they list discounted packages on their website for my dates...so I requested pricing information. Let's see what they can get me! Thanks for sharing OP!

I posted my rate minus taxes, so with taxes, it was ~232/night. I was just comparing the base rate so I could figure out the discount ($355 vs $202).

We are traveling Dec 5 through 12!!! Gosh, that's in a long time!:crazy2:

Awesome!

You will LOVE the Poly. That's better than my 40% pin code last year.

:cool1:

I have no clue as to why you can't add DDP? I would never consider buying the DDP, so it's a mute issue to me for my trip with this room rate deal. However, I can see where for others that like the dining plan, that this limitation would be a dealbreaker.

(I just prefer to get food at whatever park I happen to be at whenever I want a break without making tons of reservations ahead of time and locking myself to be at certain places in certain parks. Gosh, I can't plan. On the otherhand, I also don't want to get the 2 snacks/day and arcade time with the QS plan. Gosh, I'm picky.)

thanks for the tip, I submitted a quote. Here's hoping they get back to me before tomorrow when the 4/3 ends.

I went to Tiki**** 2007 and I confirm without reservations that Magical Vacations offers are legitimate. The dates are specific, but they state that upfront. The recent promotional emails I have seen all allow the dining plan.

I submitted a request to them for our dates using just the regular link. They quoted me the same price as the WDW website does. Then I saw the specials link for October and submitted for that. They got back to me right away saying some of my days are out of the deal. I replied immediately and asked what the rates they were quoting were for the dates in their "deal". I never got a reply. :confused3 Maybe the agent went offline so I'll be interested in whether I get a reply in the AM. I did the Poly once as a child and LOVED it. Here's hoping my kids can enjoy the magic there on our upcoming trip!!
