My DH has to go to a confernce a few hours north of WDW week of March 22nd. I can go along with him and friday we can head south instead of north..woo hoo!!! We will have friday afternoon and saturday March 27th at WDW only...:( We have one left over one day on a park hopper pass and we will have to buy a one day ticket for one park.

I know it is spring break and a saturday and the MK will be packed, so my thought was a day in Epcot would be nice and the best park to visit that time of year. Friday afternoon we will be visiting Downtown Disney Marketplace.

Being the veteran I am I should know this, but I would like some other opinions on Epcot being the best one day park. Our big trip is in December and we will 8 days here..so this is not a do or die situation....thanks...:)

We just went two weeks ago. We had a 5 day PH pass and planned on spending day 6 at Disney Quest. However, during the trip, my boyfriend, who became obsessed with Epcot (he'd never been before!) asked if instead we could please do Epcot another day (3rd Epcot day of the trip for us). So we bought one day passes and went back. We had a great time :)

I think Epcot is a great one day park. A lot of Epcot is walk through at your own pace, and later in the day many of the rides in FW have little to no line.

Our strategy each Epcot day was get a FP for Test Track. Do Universe of Energy (apparently, my bf, 31, never outgrew his childhood love of Dinosaurs...we went on UoE 3 times) while waiting, then go to Test Track, then get a FP for M:S and do Innoventions while waiting. Then head to WS. Mid day head back to FW to do what we'd missed, as the lines for Imagination, SE & Honey I shrunk the Audience get smaller in the evening. Then spend the rest of the evening in WS (of course, he managed to get an extra Mission Space ride every day :) ) .

There's so much to Epcot. One day won't get everything, but you'll certainly get your $$ worth out of one day there. Definately!

Well, you can see from countdown #2 that's exactly what I'm doing in May! My sister and I are going to Daytona Beach to meet up with a bunch of my "Sisters in Survivorship" from my online support group for a weekend of fun on the beach, then on Sunday my sis and I are driving to Disney, just for Epcot and staying at the Dolphin. I've never gone without the kids, but since we'll be there as a family just a month before, I can honestly say I have NO GUILT! I'm really looking forward to taking it in at a leisurely pace. Epcot is our favorite park, so it was an easy decision.

Ok..it has happened. My DH wangled another day off work and we are now staying two days. We will hit Epcot on saturday and MK on sunday. Even if it is crowded it is still WDW even for a quick weekend and we do have our big trip in December...

This is my first ever, fast unplanned trip and it is wonderful...:)
