You see friends Dana (still a hottie) and her hubby, along with Donna and let us not forget the ringleader
Bob!!! tried to pull a fast one on yours truly. The children and June who shall remain nameless to protect them from shame, had no part in this what so ever. (I think)
It seems when we arrived on Saturday, we found people wanting us to take them on a tour or the now famous Bob drowning cell phone location.
So we started a little tour guide which included a visit to the ice-cream parlor, then we went to the site where it all happened, we got to feed the fish and completed it by letting the tour group drop now defunct cell phones into the moat. Disney then sent out several managers with those grabby hooks and lanyards full of lanyard series pins. Once you got your phone back you got a chance to trade the wet phone for a pin and the tour was over.
Well Bob not happy at the outcome of the tour with all the people staring and pointing at him, the Japanese tourists wanting to take pictures of him holding their cell phones over the water, and them calling him "the cell phone daddy" was getting a bit perturbed. I think what pushed him over the edge was when Disney unveiled the sign over the moat that reads "Don't do a Bob, keep hold of your electronics while looking at the water" and a little disclaimer at the bottom that reads "Disney is not responsible for any items that fall into the water Heck Disney is not responsible for anything that goes wrong period. Signed the loving and caring management of Disney now go away and buy something"
You see it seem a few pintrader types after reading my story last week, thought this was would be a good way to get the pins to come to them, so they went to the pawn shops, and second hand stores and bought up the $2 and $4 dead cell phones they could get their hands on, then they started dropping them in the drink all over the parks. How did Disney catch on? Well because they used their good working cells to call maintenance, and always asked for them to bring one of the managers from the back with them, oh and to make sure they were wearing a lanyard. Then giving them the sad puppy dog look and asking for pins to alleviate their sorrow of their now dead phone.
Anyway I digress the presentation was awesome, Bob got to cut the ribbon, and threw a fake cell phone made of bread into the water as we all cheered.
So then Bob decided to get even and conned poor Dana into pulling a fast one on me, then they went around looking for a Rock, now they did in fact find one and Dana hauled it around for a bit, then got it to Bob who in turn carried it around the rest of the way.
During all this we went through some weird stuff that should have let me know that something was up, Like the Dana changing tops in the Emporium to take my attention away from the fact that Bob was looking for something and kept disappearing, the constant women needing to go to the bathroom every five minutes (actually I thought this was normal) but they kept changing outfits. People looking me and giggling I'm used to this part but I wasn't wearing a speedo, so something was up.
So after all the craziness we headed for Epcot we rode the monorail once we got to Epcot we headed right for the bridge to the worlds and everybody kept telling me to look at the turtles and to look at the water over and over again.
And then they set their evil plan in motion, Bob made a gesture and when I wasn't looking dropped this boulder in the water while yelling "oh no not again" everybody immediately started yelling Bob dropped his new phone in the water!!!!
Welllllllllllllllllllllllllll as Michelle would say NAAAAAAOOOOOOO!!!!!!
Not this master of the practical joke jokes sorry kids. Yes Bob it was well planned, you get points for turning you phone off so I could not call you and verify that it was in fact working, having Donna borrow my phone so I could not call was yet again a good one, but here is were you guys went wrong.
#1 the Rock you had Dana steal form Disney World, you see a cell phone weighs about 1 pound, the rock or I should say boulder you guys dropped in the water was at least judging by the splash the waves, and the three dead turtles, was about 10 pounds. But hey a well done goes out to you both, for not complaining about dragging a 10-pound rock all over the parks.
#2 Dana could not keep a straight face, and had to turn around and run away. Very suspicious By the way Dana that rock was a special animatronics rock that interacted with the parades valued at $45'000.00 and Disney would like it back
#3 Bob my dear friend Bob, you see you were holding the laughs in so hard that tears were running down your face, steam was pouring from your ears, and you were red like a tomato.
June sweet lovable June had no part in this because after the splash all she did was look at the water and smacks you on the arm while yelling, "I don't believe you did it again". Thank you June for not falling for it. I will omit your name when I fill out the missing rock report for security.
So after a few minutes of me smiling and saying "nope not falling it not this kid", they all broke down and start complaining of the carrying of the rock all over the place for nothing.
Sorry kids pay attention next time the master pulls a slight of hand trick remember "learn from Ed, be like Ed"
So the rest of the day went on without a hitch I learned some neat things about my friends. Dana is a great rock thief; if you ever get a chance to watch her change tops in a store its well worth it. Bob turns red when he's pulling a fast one. June will kill Bob if he ever drops his phone in the water again, and Donna spends 87% of the entire day on the phone mostly with Tink.
Oh one last thing this goes for the Disney folks Do not I mean never tall Dana she has to stand in the heat for over an hour to buy a stupid pin again It was not pretty kids. You see in order to buy the Food and Wine pins, it was the Epcot event all over again, one register only and you had to stand in the sun for over an hour. Pssst just to let you know there were two registers and guess who got the second register open Yep I guess her holding that rock in her hand got them thinking.

Dana did not change her top in the store, it was in the alley next to the store, and I voted her a 10 with honors. The plaque does not read what I said it said, it really reads "Another Kodak picture perfect spot, but leave you electronics on the bench behind you away from the water, this means you Bob". Donna now has 34000 minutes on the new yakkity yack friends and well heck anybody plan, so Tink talk away. All new cells phones now come with a sticker that reads "will not work underwater" The food and wines pins have sold out, but will soon to be appearing at an Ebay terminal near you.
And now the mans prayer "I am a man, but I can change, if I have to, I guess." Keep it real kids less than a month to the cruise woohoo
