We're supposed to get 12-24" inches of lake effect snow tonight so I don't want to hear that it's freezing and 60 down in FLA!:)

You storm in moving our way next... you can keep it if you like... REALLY no need to share!!!:headache:

I went for a bike ride this evening, It was chilly at 54. I has to wear a light jacket . I would love snow!!!

People who love snow never have to drive in it.

Soooooooooooo true.

I actually wouldn't mind the cold or snow if ALL sidewalks, parking lots, streets, highways, freeways...anything we walk or drive on instantly repelled snow and/or ice.

I TOTALLY AGREE! The cold weather doesn't really bother me, but the unplowed and unsalted roads SUCK!

We've been sunny in the mid 50's and that is just too cold. Because it also takes a while to get up to that, so morning driving to school it is 32 and somewhere in the 40's by recess time (I'm a pre-k teacher). There is ice on the playground bark and the kids think it's snow. ;) I need to wear two coats outside and I'm still cold. Here when it is sunny it is colder. Rainy weather is warmer but then we can't play outside. Anything below 60 is just way too cold and I hate it. I can't even begin to imagine how it could possibly feel at temps in the teens or less. I don't know how people stand it.

I have my jammies on backwards and am doing the "snow day dance." Come onnnnnnnnnnnn storm!

Its 25C/77F and the UV index is extreme - which means the burn time is about 10 minutes.

That's a summer day here in Michigan. Of course the cold weather keeps the Schwarzeneggers away.:)

I went to Western Michigan University, and boy I don't miss lake effect snow.

I moved the Virginia Beach area of VA over a year ago. After having bad snow storms in MI in 07 & 09 I was looking forward to living in an area where I heard doesn't really see snow. Well last year we got 10" and we just got 14" on Christmas Day. I think I brought the snow down with me. At least it all melted last weekend.

Aburns8---there was two semis wrecked on I-94 tonight, one spilling his load of steel. Tomorrow it'll get worse, I think it's time for a sick day.

Ouch! My freshman year I decided to go home the Tuesday of Thanksgiving (I am from Rochester Hills) and I got in an accident (just outside of Battle Creek before the big truck stop) because it was during an ice storm. The woman in front of me slammed on her brakes, did a couple 360's and hit me head on. The guy behind me then hit me. I was actually the only car able to drive away.

We got a snow day (which never happened at home) a couple Monday's ago from the 14" we got. There are not many plows down here. And many people don't have scrappers. It is just a different world than what I am used to back home.

We're in the middle of a thunder and lightening snowstorm... looking for locusts.

Those are interesting. I think I have only seen a couple in my lifetime. I am hoping for no locusts.

It's okay. Being Canadian, we can handle weather. Not like those southern states that never see snow and are unable to cope ... like New York.

Just curious--there is a BIG dufference between 12 and 24 inches of snow. Are the forecasts there always that "all inclusive"??
And how much did you actually get?
