Oh the Pressure to do a PTR -- We're Home & Surprise Video up on Facebook

That dress is gorgeous! The first dress was very pretty, but I immediately thought it looked very uncomfortable and a bride needs to be comfy. There is alot of standing, sitting, and dancing going on. This dress looks much better in that respect! And I like the true white color better too. She will be beautiful!

Awwww... what a wonderful day!! And such a nice way to cap the day with your casino win!! Horray for a new Disney hand bag!

No worries Kathy about the PTR stuff... you are a very busy (and popular) woman!!! :rotfl2:

Take care!

Thanks, Brenda. Now, if I could only pick one Disney bag...I found three I'd love to have.

As you know by now, I'm all over your PTR. ;)

Day 6 is off to a great start! Are those pictures from your trip last fall? I love the fall decorations! I can't wait to go back to see them. :goodvibes

CP for breakfast... SO good.

How cool about the engaged couple and them meeting here on dis!!!

6 days an no starbucks :faint: Actually, I am learning to live without it. I still love the coffee and will make it at home... but our local starbucks... It is so gross:crazy2: They pull the shots and let them sit... the acid goes through the roof on them then... the coffee always is then bitter. If I do go (and believe me.. I still do :rolleyes1) I will order things with half the pumps..cause one pump to them is like a half cup. I have wrote in to corporate to complain... and I have had my share of free drink coupons... but really... there is only so many free drinks that I want.. What I WANT is for them to make a cup of coffee right.

Thanks, Ann. I like all of our plans thus far, and LOVE my CP for breakfast.

Shannon and Tim make such a cute couple too...so glad they met here on the DIS.

Starbucks gets more expensive, their help leaves a lot to be desired. I wish I could fall in love with someone else's coffee, but so far I've not been able to.

3 Marks and 1 reflection makes 4 !!Ooops wrong thread:rotfl2::rotfl2:

:lmao::lmao::lmao: Oh, Rosie, you do crack me up.

So obviously, playing a bit of catch up again...

Love the Disney Store purchases. :thumbsup2

The dress is sooo pretty!! You will look amazing in it!

Thanks; if I can't find that exact dress, I do want that exact color.

Ok, all caught up now (sorry for the multiple posts)

The zoo pics are awesome! Looks like it was a nice day for it and all the animals were out and about.

Too cool that you had a dismeet. :goodvibes The kiddos are too cute!

It was HOT at the zoo, but there are a lot of trees for shad.

We had a fun time at the DISmeet.

I love your zoo pictures. And what a wonderful dis meet!

Thanks, Jen, it was an all-around great day.

Love the Lavendar Dress. I am a lavendar girl too ! :goodvibes

Great meet with Barry and Family.

Love the zoo- Always great when you can do a day trip like that. A little bit of Disney goes a long way.

I've always liked the lighter purple shades--lavender and lilac.

It was a fun meet with Barry, Bambi and the kids.

Great update Kathy! I have to admit we do have a pretty nice Zoo here in Milwaukee! Glad you were able to see the elephants!

Great DIS meet! Looks like a fun time all around!

Love your dress you chose for the wedding!

You have a GREAT zoo, and we've already decided to make it a yearly trip (now, if I could just win $900 on the way home every trip it would be perfect!).

Thanks...I hope I can find the dress.

So jealous that you got to meet Ryder! And of course, see the rest of the crew. Looks like it was a great time. :thumbsup2

Ryder is just adorable and has such a sweet smiel.

$900? That's for the Disney vacation fund!

Disney bag for Kathy and the rest for more fun Disney stuff. :)

I missed the $900 WIN !!!! Congrats Kathy!!!

Thank you, Rosie! Mark's in Vegas this weekend for a trade show. I gave him $100 and told him to at least triple it playing my favorite slots.

Kathy saw what top notch physical condition I keep myself in. I then proceeded to eat an entire plate full of deep fried fish and french fries. :rotfl2:

Absolutely...and he did NOT leave a crumb. :lmao::lmao:

It was our pleasure Kathy! We had a great time an really need to do that more often!

I agree...I hope it's not so far between for the next visit.

She loves being a big sister!

And a great one she is.

That was actually a gift from Kathy when he was born. He picked it out that day, so we let him wear it. :thumbsup2

He wanted to make Auntie Kathy happy by wearing the outfit...actually, Mark picked it out when we bought it.

I was there too you know. :headache:

Yeah, but you aren't as cute as Ryder.

Glad you had a fun time... Maybe next time there could be a bigger DIS meet??? Just saying....:flower3:

Would love to have a bigger DIS meet.

Looks like a fun day seeing wild animals and Barry! :lmao::rotfl2:

I guess it is your $900 to do with what you please, but I'd be putting that into the Disney vacation fund. :lmao:

Andy, those wild animals were tame compared to Barry. ;)

Oh, trust me, most of it is going to the Disney fund...Dooney is part of Disney you know! :)

Loved all the zoo pics! Looks like a really good zoo.:thumbsup2 Appears the weather cooperated while you were there, which I know is better that what you had later in the day!!! :)

Looks like a great time and fun DISmeet with Barry and family! And congrats on the $900 win!! Talk about a day trip paying off............ :rotfl:

thanks, Marv. It was great fun and the weather was terrific. We ended up missing most of the bad weather on the way home.

It was a great day trip paying off.

Love a DIS-meet, and love winning some extra Disney cash too! :)

Thanks, Michelle.

What a great Dis Meet!! looks like you guys had a great day :thumbsup2

Thank you, Shannon. It was a perfect day.

Great pics of the zoo and DIS meet! Glad you had a great time.

Thanks, Tink; we really did have fun. Barry and his family are great!

The DISmeet looked like a lot of fun! And how about those winnings?! Ka-ching! :yay: And 'Hello' IRS. :headache:

It was a fun DISmeet, Glenn. And we avoided the IRS; my ticket was under $600, and Mark's was a ticket for $100 and then he had chips from blackjack for the rest...we went and cashed in everything separately.

All caught up again... your plans are coming together very nicely! Great score on the Cape May ADR. :thumbsup2

So sorry to hear about Mark's mom... I'll definitely keep you all in my thoughts.

Thanks, Amy. I'm really looking forward to Cape May. Thanks for the prayers and thoughts.

Giving me a chance to catch up again Kathy. Seemes like I get all caught up and within minutes I am behind again.

Glad you got to meet Barry, Bambi, Madison, Evan and Ryder. Getting a bonus at the casino is :thumbsup2

We will be here when you can update.

You've been a busy girl so I am glad I slowed this thing down (although I'm pretty sure I said from the beginning it would be a slow moving PTR) so you could catch up easier.

It was fun seeing Barry and Evan for a second time and meeting the rest of the family.

Staying on top of this thread!!!

You go girl!!!!

Caught up again. :)
Everything is coming together. Happy to see you were able to score Cape May on arrival day. I do love that place. Maybe our next trip we'll be able to get over there. This trip is ADR-less. We're going to live on the wild side. It'll give me more room for Disney snacks. ;) We finally got our airfare booked since we decided to add another day. Our flight is due to land a little after 10am. So, you may see some random gal staring you down at the ME. Just ignore her lol.

Hi, stranger...I've missed you around here. It's been at least five years since we've been to Cape May for dinner so anxiously looking forward to going back. No ADR's? I don't know if I could do that. If that "random gal" is staring me down, you better say hello.

That's a beautiful dress!

Tell her to leave plenty of time to get into the dress. My friend got married and had a dress with a lace up back. We lost track of time as we were chatting before the ceremony. The next thing we knew we were jumping into our dresses and helping her lace up her dress as quickly as possible. We didn't leave hardly any time for some bride with her bridesmaids photos!

Thanks, Kelly. I will be sure to pass on that info to her. She has to have her "girl time."

That dress is quite stunning!!! It is going to be a beautiful wedding.

Congrats to them both on the house. :goodvibes

Thanks, Ann. I've been getting text messages every hour on the hour telling me how long it is until closing time.

Beautiful Dress Kathy!!!

Thank you, Rosie.

LOVE the dress!

Thanks, Michelle.

That is a fabulous dress. Absolutely stunning.
:goodvibes

Thanks, Pat. I cried when I saw it...that's how much I loved it.

Beautiful dress! :)

Thank you, Michelle.

Thanks, Jen...appreciate it.

First....so exciting that they're closing on the house tomorrow! :cool1: A big Congrats to the both of them!

Secondly.....that dress is absolutely stunning!!! Alisha is going to a beautiful bride! :goodvibes

Amanda, they are besides themselve about the house. The new sofas are being delivered at 2 or 3 and Alisha will be waiting for them while Mark is signing all the paperwork. I will pass on your congrats.

She will be a beautiful bride, even if she were in a papersack.

Oh my gosh!!! That is a stunningly gorgeous dress!!! Between moving into their new house and selecting a dress - what excitement!

Thank you, Brenda...I couldn't have said it better myself. It is stunningly gorgeous. :goodvibes

Wow, Ms. Kat! She will be a knock out in that dress!! :thumbsup2

She will certainly take your boys breath away when she walks down that aisle. :cloud9:

I've told my son that I expect he will be shedding a tear or two when Alisha comes walking down the aisle towards him.

No worries, life catches up with us. I understand this allllllll to well.

So glad you were able to get the ADR's the way you wanted them for Cape May, I'm still hemming and hawing about this one.

Thanks; I just wish real life would slow down a tad (well, not getting to my vacation time slow down, but you know what I mean).

I just want those crab legs...I could care less about the rest of the food at the buffet. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

What a beautiful dress, Kathy!

Kathy, please don't be cross with me if I go silent over the next four weeks. I don't know how much "decent" internet access we will have and I will try to catch up with all my threads but not sure I will have time to answer much. ;)

Thanks, Karin.

I hope you have a great trip...sorry we'll miss you by just a short amount of time.

Wow, what a beautiful dress!! :bride:

And congrats to them on moving into their new house, you guys must all be so excited!!! :dance3:

Thanks, Jen. They are so excited...it's like Christmas for them today.

Yay for your winnings & a Dis meet. What a great day for you!!

Love the cute shirts you got also.

Oh my what a beautiful wedding dress!! I bet she will be stunning in it.

Thanks, Doreen. It was a great Saturday last week.

Our new t-shirts arrived last night and I can't wait to wear my Dumbo shirt.

I believe Alisha will be stunning and she has a great figure too.

Beautiful dress, she is going to look amazing in it:thumbsup2

Thank you, Diane. I agree with you.

Wow Kathy, I just read through your PTR, and again "wow" congrats on your son's engagement. It looks like I am going to miss you at CSR next month, my friend and I don't arrive until the 26th. I am heading back to CSR for my 5th stay, and cannot wait!

Hi, my friend. I'm glad you found me. Actually, we aren't at CSR next month, but OKW. We're at CSR for Mark's surprise 60th in December and we can't wait to be home. But I'm sorry we will miss you in any event. :sad1:

Wow! The dress is gorgeous! I may have missed it but what did she say about your dress choice?

Thanks, Lisa. She loved my dress choice but as explained above I can't find it in any store to try it on. :headache:

Yay to the house and picking a BEAUTIFUL dress!! :goodvibes

Thanks, Shannon...an exciting week around here for the kids.

That dress is gorgeous! The first dress was very pretty, but I immediately thought it looked very uncomfortable and a bride needs to be comfy. There is alot of standing, sitting, and dancing going on. This dress looks much better in that respect! And I like the true white color better too. She will be beautiful!

Suz, that is too funny. I liked the first dress too, but it just wasn't "doing it" for me. It was beautiful, but just not what I had pictured Alisha going with. This new dress just has her written all over it and I think she will look stunning. I do have to remember to ask her if she is getting a veil or what...lI keep forgetting.

Okay, I think I'm all caught up on replies. I'm starving so I'm going to go out and get some lunch and I'll do an update this afternoon.

What a stunning dress! She'll be a gorgeous bride. How awesome that they're closing on their first house. What an exciting time.

I hope that you have luck finding your dress. It's so pretty. Have you considered having yourself measured at a bridal salon and ordering it directly from the internet? If it's too big, you can have it altered anywhere. That's what I did when I ordered my wedding dress, and I saved a ton of $$$

Yay for a Disney Dooney! Good for you!

Thanks; she called me a little while ago to tell me she had the keys to the house and I told her everyone loved her dress and said she would be beautiful and she was very touched.

I might do what you suggest after I try on some dresses next weekend.

So when I last left you a million years ago with my last update (hey, I warned you all that this was going to be a slow moving PTR :lmao::lmao::lmao:), we had just finished picking up the rental car, shopping, getting my Starbucks so I wouldn't die after six days without and Mark swimming and me packing).

So what are our plans for our last night in Disney you might be asking? And I will tell you, our plans are to...................

we have no clue. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Seriously, we're not sure what we're going to do.

We might go here

Photo0626FourBySix.jpg

and we can hit up our favorites and take one more go round in WS and have another slushie and hit the German shop for Mark

or we could go here

Photo0805FourBySix.jpg

and try to do RnR for Mark and TOT for me and go watch Fantasmic which we have not seen since 2008. :sad2::sad2::sad2:

We'll probably do any last minute souvenir shopping we have whichever park we end up at so that we don't have to take any time to do shopping on our last day at the parks tomorrow (which would be Friday if we were actually already there).

I have a long list of things I want: a Dooney, Mickey gnome, bride and groom wedding pins, some stuff for the kitchen, Christmas ornaments, chimes (I better not let Mark see this list or he'll make me leave my credit card at home).

If we hit Epcot, we'll for sure do these:

Day5003.jpg

Day5013.jpg

Day5029.jpg

Day5023.jpg

If we do the Studios, we will try to hit up a few of these:

Day6005.jpg

Day6031.jpg

Day6044.jpg

Day6045.jpg

Up next (maybe in another million years ;) ), where do we go for our last breakfast in the world and what park will we spend our day at?

So I already told you what we are doing on Thursday and Friday. Therefore, here are the plans for Saturday.

We have a breakfast ADR at one of our favorite places -- Kona (I know Mark and Todd really, really love this place). Then we will hit the Magic Kingdom unti llunch time. At lunch, we are going to split up. Mark and Todd will do their thing (Todd wanted to know where he should eat...Nicki told him, you are a big boy...you and Mark can figure it out), Des and Andy will do their own thing and Nicki and I will do what we do best: we will go to DTD and laugh, shop, laugh, eat, shop, laugh, talk, talk, talk, talk...you get the picture. :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

I know we have a dinner at The Plaza at 6:15 back at the MK (although Nicki is going to bust her butt to try to get us an ADR at Be Our Guest...Andy has told her to "STEP TO THE PLATE AND GET IT DONE!). I'm not sure if we are touring the monorail resorts after breakfast before MK or before we go to dinner. Nicki, a little help here for your OLDER sister, please.

We will definitely finish the night at the MK.

AND FOR THOSE OF YOU LATE TO THE PARTY (or behind on threads like I am), the wedding dress has been ordered by Alisha and photos are on Page 50.

Oops had your trips mixed up :lmao:, enjoy OKW and of course I know you are excited to go back to CSR in December.

I have a "I have no idea what we are going to do" night too, feels weird to an over-planner like me! I'm sure whichever option you choose, you guys will have a great time!

Plans for Day 2 of the December trip sound fun, especially the shopping, laughing, talking part! Fingers crossed that you are able to score an ADR for Be Our Guest!

Well lets see here...we are going to hit the Poly while having breakfast at Kona (NOTE TO SELF....each of us needs are own pressed pot of coffee!). Then we should go to the GF and check that out and take lots of pics in front of the huge tree and gingerbread house and then CR and then MK. Doest matter if we hit rope drop because it will not be that busy. Whatever we miss we can see at night right?

Todd...always concerned as to what he is going to eat :rotfl: I bet he will get the two of them a walk up somewhere, maybe the Plaza? Should I book them a ressie?

I love that the boys do their thing and we do ours and in WDW of all places.....I cannot stand the wait! You know what? We may have to meet them back at MK instead of the resorts....if breakfast is at 8am and we tour the three resorts and then do MK and split from there around 1pm to go to DTD and you know us, we are gonna lose track of time! I forget what time the park is open until but the way my thinking is going you and I are gonna need alot of java so we can close the park down! :woohoo: Hence the reminder in my first paragraph! :coffee:

For what its worth I did take off the entire day of Dec 6 so I can but a pain in my hubby's side and pester him about getting out early  My plan is to pack on Wed night and load the car Thurs am, take him to work at 6am and just hang out in Ft Myers until I can get him out of there! Lucky for me there is tons of stuff to do in Ft Myers so I can stay busy...for instance there are 2 Starbucks right across the street! :dance3: The great thing about his new location is it is that much closer to WDW...shaves an hour off my time!

Hey Older Sister...book that airfare will ya? If I can get handsome out at 2pm we will be in WDW by 4pm! Your flights determine how much of a pest I make of myself :rotfl2:

This is gonna be the trip of trips...and there will be no sleep for the wicked because we need to see everything! Who knows when we can all get together to spend the holidays in WDW again? Unless we make this an annual thing  just sayin'........

Hi, stranger...I've missed you around here. It's been at least five years since we've been to Cape May for dinner so anxiously looking forward to going back. No ADR's? I don't know if I could do that. If that "random gal" is staring me down, you better say hello.

Lol, our last 3 trips have been more working trips than vacation. Planning the wedding, having the wedding (and entertaining friends and family for the week), and a friend's wedding (filled with many other friends). So, having an ADR-less trip is one way I can ensure we will be able relax and not feel tied down to anything. That doesn't mean I may not try to get us into something if we know which park we will be at. ;)

I promise, if I see you guys, I will definitely say hello!

Loving the final Disney days plans for Operation September. Now I see I'm going to need to pay more attention as you are now sneaking in updates for December. :) Loving the shopping list. Any idea which style Dooney you'll be bringing home? DH doesn't know it yet but, I may be adding the new retro pattern to my collection.
I can't believe you haven't seen Fantasmic since 2008! We haven't seen it since 2010. Definitely making it a point to see this time. I may enjoy all the preshow goodness just as much as the show itself. It's quite the lively experience. I will admit I stream the Fantasmic preshow/show audio a few times a week on my iPod while I'm making dinner :rolleyes1

I forgot to mention this before but, Alisha's dress is gorgeous! She'll look just stunning. I'm sure they are loving getting set up in their new home. :)

Kathy sounds like Nikki has great plans for you guys and Mark and Todd can fend fo r themselves !!!

Sounds like a great plan! Sometimes no plan is the best. Then you can decide what you want to do without feeling bad that you're not sticking to the plan.

You might want to add a bride/groom Christmas ornament to the list. My MiL got one for DH and I when we were married, and it's gorgeous. You can have their wedding date put on it too. :thumbsup2

OMGosh, Ms. Kat! You and Nicki are gonna have a blast!!

Sounds like a great time visiting all the monorail resorts looking at Christmas decor! :santa:

I love having a good friend to laugh with, it's fun just doing the most mundane of things because you know you'll always have a blast laughing together! :goodvibes

I wonder what trouble Mark and Todd will get into without y'all? :rotfl:

By the way, do you think it will be hard to snag a ressie at BOG?

Just posting my intermittent statement saying that I'm reading along and enjoying and stuff and I certainly wasn't randomly away from the DISBoards for about a week and a half or anything... I certainly did not skim since pg 40 to now. Nope.

Plans sounds great as always, I really enjoyed my CP breakfast last year, unfortunately, there's no room for one this year :(. In fact, I'm opting out of any character meals this year! /gasp! I did make sure to squeeze a Kona breakfast in there though, just so you know that I'm paying attention ;).

Another congrats to Andy and Alisha on the house, and I'll agree that Alisha's going to be beautiful in that dress. Not that I know anything about dresses, what-so-ever though :p.

I did want to toss a warning about showing up early to Cape May dinner and hoping for an early table, as since it's got the $10pp CC hold, they may flag it as a No Show or late cancellation and charge you, you'd likely be able to get it back, but it's still a hassle. Glad you found something that worked better before that though :).

Holy cats, for a "slow" moving PTR it was plenty busy while I was gone! Gorgeous dress, new house and plans coming together nicely!

So I already told you what we are doing on Thursday and Friday. Therefore, here are the plans for Saturday.

Oh Kathy, I hope she can get an ADR there! Here's keeping our fingers crossed for that!

Look what came in the mail today:

NewMagicalExpress-1.png

AND I booked our airfare for our December trip -- $463.20 total for the two of us.

:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

I'll come back with responses later maybe...I feel a horrible cold coming on and have a slight fever and sore throat.
