So we were thinking of going to WDW for Feb vacation. As of right now, flights are either astronomical or sold out for every airline. So what do you think? Do you think anything will change? I guess we will probably have to go in March instead. pooh.

Hi, Can you travel outside the set vacation days at all?? If so SWA out of PVD still has $104.(OW) tickets from Tuesday(19) to the next Tuesday. Or Monday to Monday at a slightly higher rate. Last April we decided(belatedly) to go to WDW for Spring break and ran into the same problem. Good Luck! Joan

Will you run into the same thing in March with Spring Breaks and Easter?

I feel your pain Korie! I bit the bullet and paid through the nose to fly direct out of BDL. PVD is too far from where we are in CT or I'd love to snag some of the great rates I've seen there. Since I'm a teacher, there are no varying from the typical vacation dates. DD and I have different Spring breaks, so it's February for us with ridiculous fares! :yay:

The airlines have been cutting down on the number of flights. That puts those peak travel time tickets at a premium - both in cost and availability.

If your plans are set in stone for your travel days during peak times, you might want to find a fare you can live with and book it. You can then track your flights on yapta.com to see if the flight prices drop. Depending on the airline, you might be able to get vouchers for future travel if the prices drop.

February vacation is tough coming from the NE. We have non-stop tickets for BOS--MCO on February 12th and then RSW--BOS on February 22nd. R/T cost was $304.11 each. Not horrendous for school vacation week, but we are leaving the Tuesday before vacation (our school system has no school on Thurs or Friday, so we can get out of town before the main peak travel).

If you have your heart set on Feb vacation, my best advice is to check www.kayak.com every day, and then check Southwest, and sign up for Ding.

Good Luck!!!!!

You need to know your area airport.

I for one, fly out of a county airport. I make my resies as soon as I see a fare I like. I watched for a fare for my husband once, to go to Tucson, to come down. It never did. ( close to $500)-Tried to keep an eye out for sold seats etc.

I feel your pain. I'm going on a cruise in Feb and had to pay $440 for airfare, compared to $189 for Disney for October.

Feb is high.....we have to go the week before school vacation so we aren;t paying $600 each....ugh........luckily she can miss since she is only 10 and straight A's
