Attention All Cricut Owners!

Provo Craft has introduced it's newest addition to the Cricut lineup . . . and you'll love it!

The Gypsy unit is a handheld design studio for Cricut. Whether you're on the road or just in the backyard, you can be creative - the Gypsy stores all your Cricut cartridges, making it easy to search and find just the right shapes. Gypsy works easily with any Cricut machine - just connect and cut! Design anywhere with Gypsy from Provo Craft!

It has an AC power supply or vehicle power supply too!

The Gypsy will ship in October and has a retail of $299. Since A Time For Memories offers a 30% discount on all Cricut accessories, you can purchase your Gypsy from us for just $209.30 (plus tax) - a savings of $89.70!

Respond to this email by 5:00 on Friday to reserve your Gypsy. To secure your reservation, call or drop by with a $50 deposit (non-refundable) during the week of August 16th.

How'm I supposed to refuse that?!

I crumbled like a cookie...Monday is my birthday, so I'll just call this a "belated" gift to myself... :rotfl2:

OT - but how are you dealing with the water problem?? Do you have to boil your water or is it just over in the West street area?? We went to the McD's on 140 yesterday and they can't serve fountain drinks! Lots of businesses are affected by it - I had to drive to the McD's by Market Basket to get my diet coke fix today.

Water has to be boiled all over :( I have to boil water to wash my dishes, as I don't have a dishwasher. What a PITA! Hopefully, it will not be much longer!

I got a pre-order from Mike's about it, and it had a video. OMG! It looks sooooo easy to use! No computer needed! I have to say I loved it, and want one really bad! I mean R E A L L Y W A N T O N E!!!

A little OT, but sort of not--I REALLY want a Gypsy, and I also REALLY want the Everyday Paper Dolls cart. Where's the best place y'all have seen to order that cart??

It won't be in until October, so I'll be able to justify the box of stuff that arrived on my actual birthday ;)

I've seen the video but do you need the actual carts to cut like you do in design studio.

I'm thinking for going to crops, I don't like bringing 20 carts with me. If the data is stored in the gypsy will I need to plug the different carts into the cricut when I cut?

No! That's the beauty of it, you "install" your cartridges and they are there for you to use whenever and wherever you need them. You can only "attach" them to one Gypsy though. But, you can lend your friends your carts to use on their machine(s) and CDS.

The reason I bought my Cricut is because I wanted to be able to scrap without the computer ... have never bothered to buy DS. I can't wait for the Gypsy to be released (and hate the fact that they are teasing us months in advance). I won't be preordering but will be buying it as soon as I can get my hands on one.

that is great to hear. I think I'll be the one in our circle to consider the Gypsy. The price is too high for anyone else. But between all of us I think we have all the carts!

I'm not sure anyone knows the answer yet but is there any way to unattach a cart from the Gypsy? If I use my neighbors cart and then she gets a Gypsy can I undo her cart on mine so she can install it on hers?

I don't think so. From what I've read, once you install it on one Gypsy, it's on that one for good (only way to remove it is if there is a problem and you have to buy a new one - or are given a replacement) - then they can transfer them to the new one.

Good to know. My neighbor and I do swap carts a lot and I would let her use my Gypsy but I wouldn't want to do anything to prevent her from accessing her carts if she decided to buy one.

I assumed you couldn't install them on 2 at the same time but hoped transferring would be possible.
