To all of you worried that you have not gotten your invitation to ride the Mission Space ride that was given to all the annual pass holders.

I have the answers you seek. You are an outcast and can never ride the ride, so go home and cry… No no no actually what happened is very simple to explain.

If your pass expired before August 1st 2003, Disney did not send you an invitation simply because they had no way of knowing if you were renewing it or not. If your card did not expire before August 1st 2003 you got your invitation. If you had renewed your card before the invitations went out you would have gotten one as well.

A few years ago I got signed up on a plan that told Disney I was going to renew every year unless I was dead, so mine is pretty much automatic, so they will send me stuff forever. I don’t know if they still do this or not, but you may want to ask.

But does this mean you cannot go to annual pass preview and ride the ride. Yes you can’t go ha ha. No no no again yes you can go, all you need is your annual pass and you’re in.

Now the preview is August 1st to the 3rd there is a pin (but of course) and it will be available at 3 locations Pin Central, Mouse Gears, and Mission Space gift shop.

To the Ebay bunch that means you can buy 6 sets of pins then do it all over again and get another 6 set.

So no worries you can ride the ride and get the pin. Some of you have asked me that you want the letter to frame it or whatever, you can call the annual pass office at 407-560-7277 tell them did not get your letter, and you know why but you would like it anyway to frame it and they will mail you one.

I just did all of the above for a friend of mine and it worked out fine, fast, friendly service, and if the put you on hold it's Disney tune time.

Disclaimer:

I received all my information from Disney information services and so can you, it’s just a matter of knowing who to ask for. If the information is wrong hey at least I tried. There is a 99.9% probability that it is correct though.

What do you do if you received the invitation (actually five of them), but you can't go anyway? :(

And, you need all of those Fab 5 Countdown pins???

And, your (former) best local pinpal planned her trip so that she would be back home before the Countdown pins are released?

And, besides, who can afford five more pins when there are all those framed pin sets I need from the September Epcot Event?

What then? :(

You move over, because I'm in the same boat (well, except for the framed sets from September)! You also plead with kind-hearted DIS folks (are there any other kind?) to please please please pick up the AP pin. Then you read the post about Laurie and Matthew and realize that missing a pin or two (or five) is really pretty trivial.

Our APs expired in June, but we still got the invitation. Go figure. I was going to give it to a friend, but I read the fine print and realized that you don't need the invitation in order to take part. You just need a valid AP. So the invitation by itself is of no consequence.
