Oh, no, she shrunk!

One inch in six months is pretty doable, I'd be surprised if she doesn't get there.

Unless Meredith was within a hair of getting there anyway, I wouldn't do the ponytail if I could; however, since a few months ago she decided to take some scissors into her own hands....it's not an option. It scarcely reaches her shoulders now. Her body is more likely to reach the required height in time than her hair would be, to make a ponytail!

One point on kids who are at a height where they may/may not make it depending on how they are standing: go to those rides first thing in the morning. Over the course of the day, tiredness and gravity makes you slump a bit.

Another thing: *DON'T CARRY THEM IN THE RIDE QUEUE*. When DS was that age, we discovered that if he was carried in, he was always measured, and sometimes did not pass because he wouldn't stand straight. If he walked in on his own, however, the CM's very seldom bothered to measure him.

I'm not advocating cheating to push the height, but if it is so close that it's just a matter of measuring technique, these tips should help.

We had a patient in the hospital that had a disease that made him short, he was 15 when he died and never made it on Indiana Jones due to his height. We tried everything, from some spice girl looking shoes(from Walmart), he was willing to try anything, to talking as high up in the Disney chain as we could to get him on that ride. It was sad that it never worked:( ps...miss you Michael!!
I stuffed TP in my sons shoes to get him on Indiana Jones ;)
It did work.
