I am just full of problems today!

I noticed yesterday that the kitchen sink was draining really slowly. Around the same time DH notced that the sink in the garage was also not draining (and there was some weird stuff in the drain)

We tried Drano Gel over night, and that seemed to help a little in the sink. However, we notced that now (perhaps before as well) the water draining from the sink in the kitchen was coming up in the sink in the garage!

So then I tried the Drano Foaming stuff in the kitchen again. Still the same problem of the water emerging in the garage. I'm going to wait for the sink in the garage to drain again, and then try the foaming stuff in there. However, I'm pretty sure that won't work.

Any ideas? Do we need to call a plumber?

Call a plumber. Sounds like it could be a clog in your main drain. We just had a similar problem in our new kitchen and it was a major clog (buildup) in one of the pipes in the basement that drains from the kitchen. Plumber came & cleaned it out.

BTW, plumbers HATE drano stuff 'cause it's caustic and very often they get doused with water from clogs, etc. Then they get skin burns. So, if you think you're going to call a plumber, you should probably hold off on any more drano.

Good luck. I hate plumbing stuff

Your line may need snaked, or your neighborhood could be experiencing some drainage problems. See if your neighbors are having problems.

When I get clogs, I do the "poor man's plumbing"...jalapeno pepper juice. Just a little right down the drain. It's always worked for me. :) If it's in your main line though, you should call a plumber. Good luck.
