Oh NO! No Turtle Talk With Crush!

I just looked at the Disney Calendar and they have Disney Animation closed the entire week we're there due to the Snow White Exhibit! (Nov. 10 - 17)

I missed Turtle Talk in WDW because it hadn't opened yet, and now I'm going to miss it again.

I am so Crushed!

wow the whole week? I'm definately thinking we picked a bad time to go to Disneyland. Yeah yeah, I know is there really a bad time to go? I'm beginning to think maybe...at least Indy will be opened..hopefully.

I wonder if there's any chance that they will still keep Crush open. I've only been inside the building once...back in 2001, but I believe there are several rooms inside with Crush being in one of them.

Probably not. Yeah...I think we picked a really lousy time to go to DL. Had I realized it was Veteran's Day Weekend and had I known the history of that holiday at the parks, I would have bumped our vacation up a couple of weeks until after Thanksgiving.

I'm glad Indy is back up and running though, but like my son said...for how long? And I am really looking forward to seeing the Remember fireworks, but with the way my luck is going, it will probably be cancelled due to high winds.

Yeah at this point that's sort of how I'm expecting things to go to. Indy and Space will be shut creating larger crowds to disperse elsewhere in the park and the fireworks will be cancelled due to highwinds and Fantasmic will not be playing because they know I'm coming With all jokes aside though, I think it will still be a great time and I'm strongly hoping everything else goes smoothly, no more surprises pleaaaase! Unless it's a dream.

You can enjoy it online even though it will be closed when you're in the park.

Oh well...I'm really hoping to make another trip down to DL next year anyway. Maybe I'll see Crush then.

Nov. 10th - 16th. Animation opens again on Friday the 16th, but it will probably be with the Snow White Exhibit, not the normal attractions inside the building.

WHAT? We still have not seen Crush. We went to WDW in Feb and it was closed then and I was waiting anxiously to see it in DL in 28 DAYS! We are there until the 19th. Will it open on the 18th? HELLLLLP!

Animation is open on the 16th for the Snow White Exhibit...(that's the official day of the big ceremony).

I don't know how long Snow White will be there, nor how long it would take to get things back to normal after the shindig. Regardless, my last day at DL is Nov. 16th so I'm gonna miss Crush anyway I look at it.

Why couldn't they have used the theatre where the movie about California is for this ceremony? (sorry...I can't remember the name of it but has Whoopie in it) Not many people like the movie anyway from what I've read on various discussion boards.

meh, Talk with Crush kinda sucks after you do talk with Stitch...

I had one of my memoriable moments talking to Stitch with a friend...

Stitch and I didnt get along though... thats for sure...

I called DLR and the nice lady there confirmed that yes...all of the Animation building was going to be closed that week. She said if Crush was going to be open, they would have made note of it on the refurbishment schedule.
Big Sigh...

She did say that the "powers that be" may decide they don't need the entire building and could change their minds about Crush but...

Wow that is awesome!I would love to do something like this with my Mom! Ok I am going to put on my big girl pants and suck it up. We are going to WDW in April....I WILL catch it there....I hope

For those worried about how the set up will effect things after the refurbishment I am guessing that they will actually use one of the side rooms for the display (and most likely the film clips shown in the main lobby area), the one area started as a display of concept art and has been used for character meets for some time, it is next to the theater for the Animation Class and across from Turtle Talk. That area makes the most sense since it already is designed with art cases. They have had this area blocked off for a little while now. Most likely they are closing the building for the week since it would be hard to hide their mess as they work on it, and they have to set it up for the event.
