Oh No! Mickey's eaten a CM!!!

Could it be a reflection? Not wanting to spoil the magic here, but is that piece of the costume fabric? I'm guessing that's where the CM sees from... could the fabric reflect? Which would be great because that would mean that

a/ Mickey is real for sure and
b/ He didn't get hungry between breaks....

You know, I've often thought to myself how amazing it was that I could never tell there was a person inside.

This is gonna sound absolutely rediculous, but it's a little disappointing to see that picture!

If you lighten the picture, as someone else mentioned, you can see it really well. Unfortunately - not a reflection. :(

Here's a link!!

Does that work? It shows up better on the actual photo, but I think you can see it. You'll all think I'm going mad now!! The CM's in there really!!
That was disturbing in SO many ways!

I have never seen that before. I'm in shock...what a way to ruin the magic. I'm sure it wasn't on purpose, but that's totally weird. I mean, I know they're in there but I never think of actually seeing them.

Go to the link he posted, right-click the picture and Save As to save the picture file on your computer. Then open up the file with MS Photo Editor. That should be the default if you just double-click the file you saved.
In MS Photo Editor, go to Image -> Balance on the toolbar.
Then try increasing the Gamma or Brightness. I think increasing Gamma makes it the most visible.

How do you know it's a CM in there?

Maybe Mickey got a little frustrated with an overzealous kid.

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Whoa. Okay I worked at the MK for a time and was pretty unphased by the characters walking around half dressed and headless, but for some strange reason that picture totally creeped me out.

WOW! Thanks for posting!
Just last year my son was at the stage of telling me Mickey isn’t real (where does he get this stuff??).
I can’t imagine sitting in Chef Mickey’s and seeing this. I think I would have had to tell him the truth….that Mickey was hungry.
I’ve never seen a costume characters eyes so clearly in all the years I’ve been at Disney.
If I were you, I may even consider sending this picture to Disney. Maybe something is “wrong” with the eyes.
Thanks again…it was funny!

I agree....It felt really weird looking in Mickey'S eyes and seeing someone else. I hope That when I go to WDW I will not be trying to see MM eyes unconciously.

It killed a little magic for me....I now know how the kids feel when they realize that santa is not real.

Actually, I heard Mickey was refused a cheese break one too many times by the same cm ....

Actually the day before we went to see Mickey at the same spot, and there wasn't a photographer (which was odd as there always seems to be one there) Which is why we went back and got this shot done the next day........

...Maybe Mickey had heard some of the complaints about people have had with Photopass (lost photos and bad composition) and decided to make an executive decision and take action. I wonder if they feed ex-ceo's to Pluto!!!!

On a side note, I'm a bit bummed to have paid $16 for a photo I can't use in my scrapbook..... :sad1:

I don't think you'll see this for yourself, I think it was a fluke, probably the photographers flash was a bit too bright, and I think I was taking photo's at the exact same time. A one in a million moment.....and what this about Santa???!!!

I am sorry but that is funny!!! I had to go wake DH up so I could show him before I forgot!
