It came in an email with attachment which I DIDN'T open. But after doing a virus scan, it was there never the less. There's a special tool to get rid of it on the Norton site. I haven't done that yet. I'm VERY technically challenged! :( Got a doctors appointment in a few minutes so I'll try when I get back.

Anyone delt with this on here. Should I be afraid? Should I call my computer tech person to come to my house and do this for me?? Waaaa, it's been a bad morning. :p

YIKES! You can get that virus without opening an attachment? That's scary. I think I'll go run a virus scan real quick.

a virus scan will detect the virus in an email..that doesn't mean you've been infected......you just have to delete the mail..remove it from your trash bin and if you have xp there's a step involving system restore..I forget exactly what it is, but norton will tell you what to do..

OK, so if I didn't launch the attachment (it was an exe file) and I got rid of it, I should be OK? It's been totally removed from the computer.

I think that SSB received the email last night (or another one..)

Had title of "Don't use my file", or sumpin' like that... so deleted even thogh came from someone I knew. Asked about later, and was virus from VA Tech...
