I bought a soft-sided cooler for our trip, after hearing that they are indeed allowed in the park. I saw on a general "Disney food blog" post that coolers up to 18" wide x 25" high x 37" deep are allowed -- well mine certainly is not that large. It is 7.90" x 12.50" x 12". However, I see now that the Disneyland website officially states that coolers "over 6 pack size" are not allowed -- this one advertises itself as a 16-can cooler, though I wish anyone trying to put 16 cans in this thing good luck.

Will I be denied my cooler?! I took the tags off and am not sure I can return it for a smaller one. Boo.:worried:

I used to take a backpack sized soft cooler that I put in the bottom of my stroller and it was fine.

I think they are more interested in NOT letting the large hard coolers.. or coolers on wheels...
We took 3, 6 pack coolers in.. (they did all fit into my backpack) and had no problems getting in..

if it will fit into your back pack I think you may be Okay..

and if not , there are lockers near the outside picnic area that you could store it in.

The cooler dimensions you mention above will fit in the OUTSIDE lockers. When they said allowed, they mean you can take it to the lockers. You may be "denied" as in they will have you take it to the lockers by the picnic area.

im getting a backpack cooler not on wheels and it is one those camping backpacks incase you want to look at it its the Picnic Time Zuma Insulated Cooler Backpack only 20bucks not bad

There's also the Igloo MaxCold backpack cooler, which is pretty fabulous. Target for about $20.

Mine is definitely smaller than those backpacks, so hopefully I will be okay, though it is on a single shoulder strap. It easily fits in the basket of our stroller, so it's not a hazard like a big ol' rolling Coleman would be. Guess we will just have to see.

i wish rolling was ok i found one i was so happy about and then told dont get it because rolling was a nono. but this ones replacing our small backpack cooler i got 4 years ago but its ripped now and the new one will hold more and my hubby will be the one carrying it. We also no longer have stroller with us so we have to condince things down to one bag This bag will be perfect will fit out jackets and cameras and small suff in top and our water bottles and Pepsi in the bottom

You'll be fine. I've taken in a very large soft sided cooler- CM's could care less how big it actually is. They are more interested in making sure you're not smuggling in weapons or glass bottles.:thumbsup2
