All I can say is this trip was sure A Year of a Million Dreams. As you can see my pre – TR was my very first solo trip and my first trip back to the “World” since 1988. I will never wait that long again to go back.

Tuesday December 2 – I was so excited I could not sleep the night before. My Aunt to me to the airport at 5:45am for my 8:00am direct fight with Air Tran. The flight was wonderful. When I got off the plane it was straight to Disney Express. I checked in and was on my mear’s bus to Pop Century with then 25 mins. Really fast. I was sad I did not get on the Disney Express bus, I did see them and I even to a picture. But sadly was not on it.
When I got to the Pop Century at around 11:30am no wait in line to check in. My room was ready 50’s building facing the bowling ball pool room 3111. Great room will stay in the 50’s building again.
Once I went to my room put everything down and looked over my folder, did not change cloths because it was very very cold. 50 degree’s with 20 mile winds still felt like I was in Dayton, Ohio.
I went up to the dining area got my refill mug, had Hamburger with fries, choc. Cake and coke and used my snake off my plan. It was very good and loved the inside the main building, shopping was great, people was very friendly. I will be booking here again.
I spent the rest of the day looking at different resorts.
Had a dining resv. At the Grand Floridian Café. Bad food, bad service and will NEVER eat there again.
After dinner I went Downtown Disney to do a little shopping. In my package I got a free gift at Planet Hollywood (free small key chain) 15% discount if I bought something. So with it being very cold I got a Planet Hollywood sweat shirt. Paid $16.95
Went back to the hotel, stopped by a refilled my mug with coffee, then to my room with very sore feet and legs for a well needed sleep. Lights out at 10:30pm

Day 2 will be posted shortly.

Almost everytime we've stayed at Pop we've been in the 50's, it's a great location. Looking forward to reading more. :)

My first person, thank you. There for a while I didn't think anyone was going to post.
Yes, I just loved the Pop and will be staying there for sure again in the 50's building.

Wednesday Dec 3rd – 2nd day woke up at 8:30am with very shore feet and legs. With staying up for 24 hours and all the walking I did at the different hotels and downtown Disney. I just took my time to get moving.
Got ready and out of my room at 10am and was heading to AK. I want to add to wait for the bus to the parks and back to the hotel this week was crazy. Very packed and waited sometimes up to 30 mins for a bus. They really need to do something about the bus system.
AK I will have to say was my favorite park. I got to do all the rides, shows and take my time looking around by dark. The Loin King show was WONDERFUL, LOVED IT.
I went to Flame Tree Barbecue, Little to my surprised I was first in line (11am) here comes a cast member and asked me to do the “Opening Call” that was fun and yes I did get a Where dreams come true certificate.
No long wait for any rides, No need for fast pass. My favorite rides would have to be Mountain Everest & Dinosaur.
The shows were just amazing everyone has to go see it’s tough to be a bug, Finding Nemo. Like I said above my favorite was the Loin King.
Evening – AK was open late that night but I had ADR for the 50’s Prime Time Café. This was my favorite place, great food, great CM. Will be eating there from now on when I go back to WDW.

I was super tired after supper and my leg’s and feet felt like they were going to fall off. Brain note buy a very good supporting walking shoe before going back to Disney World. Got back to the resort and in bed by 8:30pm.

Coming up Day 3 MK and Mickey Merry Christmas Party.

Can't wait for more! I loved it’s tough to be a bug, I didn't get to see Lion King the last time so hopefully I will!

Day 3 of my Trip Report

Magic Kingdom with Mickey Merry Christmas Party

This was the day that I have been waiting for 9 months since I booked my solo trip. This was the day that really was full of magic.

I got up around 7:30am, when to the food court at the pop to contune using my refillable cup. And if you all know me really well it was COFFEE time.

I headed to the bus stop around 8:45am and here I go to magic kingdom. I got my bus and was in the park around 9:30am. At this point I was so excited.

When I turned the corner and show the castle, I really could not believe I was standing there looking at the castle. It was the most wonderful thing I have ever seen. After a few minutes standing there I had to stop looking and decide where I was going to go next.

I went to “Tomorrowland” since I was close to it. Right had side.
I did not ride the Indy speedway; it looked to slow for me. Space mountain ride was not waiting so I went on that. It was great a roller coaster in the dark. Buzz lightyear’s space ranger spin, again there was little line; this ride was once again amazing. Stitch’s Great escape, I really did not think this ride would be that good but I did it. I once again wrong. This was fast, spinning and tons of fun. By this time it was getting to be around 11:15am and I was getting hungry so I decided it was time to eat. So I went to Comic Ray’s Starlight Café since it was close. When I got my food and went to the main eating place there was Comic Ray playing music and talking. This was cute. Good food.

Next on the circle around the park was Mickey’s Toontown Fair. This was the place for me to meet and greet Tinker Bell, since I really wanted a picture of her and me. Keep reading Con’t

I went to the line for Tinker Bell and little to my surprise it was a 2 hour wait. Since my feet was killing me there was no way I was going to wait that long to see her. So I passed it. Brain note – Go see Tinker bell first thing in the morning or very late at night.

Mickey’s toontown was full of the entire meet and greet people. If you don’t go first thing in the morning you will never get to see them.

Fantasyland. They have a new place for little girls that I felt just amazed. You take your little girl in there; you have to have ADR for this. But they go in there pick the person you want to be for the day…I would have picked Tinker Bell. You get the outfit, shoes, ears, and of course wings. Then you go get your hair done like her and even gets your nails done. When you walk out you will look like Tinker Bell. You will see in my picture’s I took a picture of these 3 girls that was dressed up like fairies. It was great.

Here are the rides I went on. It’s a small world, Peter Pan’s flight, Mickey’s Philharmonic (3-D), snow white Scary Adventure, and May adventures of Winnie the Pooh. Every ride I went on was totally amazed how Disney does some of the thing to really make your eye’s and face to be amazed.

Liberty Square. The Hall of Presidents was closed to add our new president. I will see this for sure when Kacie and I go back next year. The haunted Mansion, to me was an okay ride. Really was not amazed about this. Since I am really not into haunted houses.

Frontierland. Splash Mountain, by this time it had warmed up a little so I went on it. I got a little wet but it was a great ride. Thunder mountain railroad, Great train coaster. Tom Sawyer Island was a stand up ride; I did not do this because my feet were killing me so I kept on walking.

I forgot to tell you, when I was waiting for the 3pm parade this photo pass man asked me if he could take my picture with the back side of the castle. I said sure. If you all got to see my Christmas card you would have seen what was in my hand.

By this time it was almost time for my ADR for the Crystal Palace. So I walked over there and had a wonderful dinner. I just had to talk my time and give me legs and feet a rest. This place was a buffet and you got to eat with Pooh and friends.

When I got done and a rest when I walked out the Castle was all late up in Christmas lights. It was just amazing. The Mickey’s Christmas party had started. We got free hot choc and cookies, Main Street had snow falling. This was time for me to find a good place to stand and wait for the night time parade. I tried to take pictures but had to stop because they were just not turning out with my digital camera. Come to find out I did not have the camera on night time setting.

They had different stuff going on for the party, but I just had to go back to the hotel and take a bath for my feet and legs. What a wonderful day and evening. Can’t wait to show Kacie how amazing this place is.

Friday, AK and Epcot

When I woke up I just could not believe my legs and Feet still was hurting. When I was at MK I bought me a pair of croc’s with Mickey on them. A lady at the hotel told me that they was very comfortable and that is all she wears so I decide I would give it a try, since my gym shoes was just not working.

When I went to refill my mug (A refill mug is $13.00 and it is good the whole time at the hotel) It gives you unlimited refills for drinks.

I decided I would go back to AK since Epcot was open late that night. I got to AK around 9:30am and got to see Loin King show again, and see other thinks I missed when I went there on Wednesday.

Around noon I headed over to Epcot. I can’t remember if I ate lunch at AK or Epcot. Of course I took pictures as I walked in Epcot. Then headed to the big ball to see what it was all about. Come to find out it was a ride called Space earth. I was really surprised to learn it was a great ride to find out about the future and explore inside the park.

The Ellen’s Energy Adventure was a ride with Ellen DaGeneres going back to the dinosaur era. Very nice ride.

Mission Space all I can say about this ride was NO NOT ride Orange that is if you really want to feel motion sick and go very fast. Brain note: Ride the Green side next.

Test Track – I loved this ride, you feel like you are in a racing car. Tons of fun. I rode this 2 times.

The seas with Nemo & Friends & Turtle talk with Crush. I was really amazed and for sure I love Nemo.

Soaring – This is a new ride. You in a hang glider. When you are flying you could really smell the oranges, ocean, fire wood and other things. I loved this ride. Did it 2 times.

Living with the Land – Boat voyage through amazing greenhouses and a fish farm. This ride was just amazing thing. You get to see how Disney grows food and fish to use in all the parks and hotels. I just could not believe how Disney grows there own produce and fish.

Circle of Life – This was a short film featuring characters from “Loin King”. This was very nice, but really could not enjoy it because it was a standing film and my feet really was about to fall off. When I got out of this walk, I notice I was freezing and come to find out I had a fever. But I just had to go on.

Honey, I shrunk the Audience – This was a 3-D show and I sure was shrunken.

By this time it was time for my Dinner and I for sure needed a rest. I had dinner at AK Lodge (Boma) I had read on Disboard that is was a very nice place to eat (Buffet).

I did not go see the different “Worlds” I just could not do any more walking. I headed back to the hotel just in tears and took everything in me to get to my room.

I took my temp. And come to find out it was 102.0. My feet and legs had a fever and very swollen. My ankles were a size of a very large grapefruit. Off to sleep I went. Praying I could do my last day. Hollywood Studios.

Sorry to hear your feet are causing you so much pain :(

You sure are getting to see all the main attractions and am glad you enjoyed your first trip. The Bibbity Bobbity Boutique is really a magical place to take little girls for "dress up" into princesses or Tinkerbell and glad they added it to the Magic Kingdom recently (they still have the one in Downtown Disney, I believe).

I hope you find some relief for your feet so you can enjoy your trip. I have some great walking shoes that I've worn for last couple years (I tried a new pair last trip and ended up with blisters so never will do that again!) I see you flew Airtran - how did you like the flight? I will be leaving tomorrow morning and have never flown w/them so am anxious to see how the service is.

Can't wait to read more of your trip!

Yes, they still have the Boutique downtown. I think I enclosed it in my pictures of the 3 little girls that was all dresses up like tinker bell.

You will love AirTran, great take off and landing was like landing on a bed of clouds. The service was wonderful.

I will post tonight or tomorrow the rest of the TR and how my feet ended up. I will just say this I have been home almost a week and I am back to normal.
Please let me know how the crowds are when you go...I am taking my daughter next december 15th.

Have a great trip and talk to you when you get back.

Saturday, Final day and final thoughts

I wanted to get up early, this was my last final day and with my feet and legs the way there was I wanted to get over to MGM and get a wheel chair for the day.

I just could not walk any more; it was just so painful to even go get coffee. But I did get over to MGM and yes they had a battery wheelchair. I was really nice to see the whole park not in pain.

I did get to see the show of the High School Musical 2. It was done very well. That was the only show “Live” I saw.

In this park there were a lot of 3-D rides, but I will have to say my favorite was the new ride called Toy Story Midway Mania. This ride was done in 4-D game playing ride. It was just amazing how they did this ride. I didn’t score ever well but that is okay I will beat Kacie when we go.

I am not into the star wars, Indiana Jones, Lights, Motors and Action, so I just didn’t waste time and seeing these.

The best Musical was Little Mermaid, Honey, I shrunk the kids, Journey into Narnia, One man’s dream and Beauty and the Beast. Was just great, I just can’t get over how they make all this stuff so real.

The rides – Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror were just great and will for sure ride those 2 again when I go back.

Best show ever was at night when I get to see the Osborne lights. I even got the 3-D glasses when you put them on you will see snow falling and angles flying around. But the Christmas lights was just so amazing I have never seen that many lights in my life.

Sunday morning – Leave day. I got to have late check out (12 noon) I had already had my boarding pass and everything I needed to go to the airport.

I just laid around in the hotel room. I did all my packing last night so all I really needed to do was take everything up to the baggage claim before 1pm.

Since I cancelled my ADR for the Corel Reef last night I had one meal left. It was really good since I was not leaving for the airport until 3pm. I used it on lunch at the Pop.

Final thoughts – It was just an amazing trip and I am for sure ready for another solo trip. I just had a blast. I am happy to report that I have been home almost a week and my legs and feet are back to normal.

I have booked another trip to go back with the same package I had before going 12/15 – 12/20/2009 and this time I will be taking my daughter Kacie, this will be her very first time going. This will be her trip her planning and she even can do all the ADR’s. But she has to do 50’s Prime, Corel Reef and Crystal Palace.

Thank you for reading my Trip Report. Look forward in doing my Pre-Trip report in Nov or first part of Dec next year.
