Oh my gosh...The 30 Day Countdown!

I can't belive in 30 days (as of tomorrow) I will be impatiently sitting on the plane on my way to WDW, for my very first time! I have been planning this trip for 1 1/2 years and now it's so close I can smell the pixie dust! What can I do to make these 30 days seem to move faster??? I already have my packing list, park plan, maps, waiting on the tax return to finish all needed shopping, and of course I'm on the DIS every day! Who else is in the "30 days or less" realm? What are you doing to keep your excitement under control?!?! HELP!!

30 Days for me, too !! I had my kids go through their summer clothes last weekend to see what fit and what I need to buy. I'm to excited to sleep

30 days for us too !! Today, I ordered tickets and made a few table service ADRs. I haven't even thought about clothes to pack, etc. WOW ! I've got to get on the ball.

iam 45 days,30 days sounds real good.I do not know how the ones that have years to go!! i would go insane lol...Just stay on dis for as many hours as you can until you can not stay awake any more,you have to sleep some time.

We've got 31 days.

Today I bought a bag at WalMart and painted "Flower" on it. He is my favorite because Flower is my middle name! (Don't ask)

While you are in the park, if you see a pleasantly plump, 30ish woman carrying a pink messenger bag with a skunk painted on it, that's me!

I also bought flip flops for our flight (easier/faster to get through security.)

Everything is all planned out plane tickets, rental car, condo rental, meal menus, grocery shopping list, packing list, etc. All that is left is the park tickets.

It's getting harder every day! Of course, DD's don't know yet...it's a surprise trip and they think we're going to the beach. So I've been disguising my Disney excitement as beach excitement. I've already had the girls try on their summer clothes, and have a tote full of stuff that will need to be packed...I even have a travel journal filled with notes of stuff I've learned from the DIS boards ready to stick in my minibackpack.

Have fun, I know I plan to!

codygirl, I got some croc flip flops, too. I got them at Journey's in the NWA Mall. Last year I wore regular crocs in the parks, but this year I'm going to try the flips. I bought my husband some Keens last night (he won't wear crocs) I can't belive it's one month from today.

That's where I'm going to look. I'll check out Journey's. I'm just wanting to get the black ones, but they're hard to find. I keep trying to get DH to get some sandals but he just wants to wear his old beat up tennis shoes! I forget, are you flying or driving?

Codygirl, we are driving. It took some convincing for my DH to get some new sandles but he finally caved. I think not having to walk around in wet shoes and socks from water rides or rain finally did it. I think Journeys had the black ones, I got mine a week ago. I got the choc. with baby blue sole. DD11 got lime green with pink sole. And I had to order DD9's from zappos, they didn't carry her size, she got pink with orange sole. Last night I also got new Disney beach towels at the Disney Store. They didn't have them out yet, but they went in the back and brought them out for me to look at and choose from. They are really great this year. The Minnie one is precious, DD9 picked that one. DD11 got Tink, DS14 POTC, and I got Lilo. DH drew the line at a Disney Beach Towel, so he'll get a generic one from somewhere. We all have beach towels, but they have seen there better days. I guess I'll stop rambling now have fun shopping today, maybe it will warm up a little. I have to go work in the concession stand today at the PeeWee ballgames. My DD doesn't play until 4:00, but I have to be there at 12:00 and work until then.

Hi everyone we hit the 30 day mark a couple days ago and I'm so excited! I'm still revising my plans a bit, I just joined tourguidemike this week and want to incorporate some of the recommendations there, but I had all my ADR set months ago and I'm not sure I'm willing to give those up. Today I finally bought tickets! I am working on my grocery list, I think we are going to use wegoshop - my parents need their liquor, haha. I haven't looked into car rental, we don't need a car but it would certainly be handy if I can find a good deal, so that is on my agenda for this week. I think the kids are ready, still looking for Disney toys for my toddler - they are really alot harder to find than I would have ever imagined - I bought a set of little plastic figures on eBay from HONG KONG! I know there will be plenty at WDW but I wanted some now to introduce her to the characters, kwim?

On top of everything else my husband and I are finalizing our divorce. I should be focusing on that, but I'm so lucky we have this WDW trip to look forward to or I would be a wreck! I am going with my 2 kids and my parents, btw.

Planning a trip to WDW to get your mind off your divorce - what a great idea!!! Wish I had thought of that after my divorce, I just got a second job and threw myself into work. I am such an idiot!

About wearing new flip flops in the parks... make sure you wear them a bunch in the month before you go, you will need a good callous (spelling?) in between your toes.

4 weeks from now we'll be on that plane heading to WDW. Can't wait!!

Just for those that don't know, Cody is my Dsis and we have been planning to do a trip together for a long time. I hope we still get along as well after the trip as we do now. 9 days of family "togetherness" might be too much...
