Being long time Saints fans I had a sudden brain storm that my husband would enjoy tickets for a game for his birthday the beginning of November. Went to the Saints website and was redirected to purchase tickets for individual games.

Good golly, The least expensive tickets were almost two hundred dollars each and they were way up high. Since our family would need four I'm thinking we will be watching and cheering our saints on from the sofa again this year.

Oh well, never too early for a "Geaux Saints!"

Yeah, a bad seat this time last year went for like $80. Now it's over 200, closer to 300.

Well, we got Super Bowl Champs. You can have champions and pricey tickets or the 'Aints and they GIVE you the tickets. . .

You are sooo right! Most people just don't realize how much that win meant to the people of Louisiana.

I feel your pain! Patriot tix are about as expensive, but you can't get them unless you go through a "broker" because the few seats they sell to the public are gone in seconds. I just watch from home now and dream of the days we used to go when they were cheap (relatively) and you could get your hands on them!

That's so sad. I remember buying my dad some tickets a couple of Christmases ago - I think I got 2 really good seats for less than $200. Then they called and offered me season tickets for like $80 - I felt bad turning them down - they seemed so desperate.

Keep checking once the season starts. The prices go up and down, up and down. Also, prices will often dip shortly before the game since those with seats for sale at least want to cover the cost of their ticket. If you don't have any luck in advance, you might just get a good deal a day or so ahead of time. No one wants to take a total loss, even if they don't make any profit.

You could also ask around and see if any friends/family know someone with season tickets and are looking to sell them. I get tickets to at least a couple of games each year that way since sometimes the season ticket holders just have things that come up and can't always make it to every game.

My cousin (who now lives in FL) just got season tix to the Pats after 12 years on the wait list. We were lucky enough to get a pair of tix that he didn't want to use. Thankfully, they were only $80/each.

I remember going to Sox games in the bleacher seats for $12/game. Ouch.

Yes, Saints tickets in the dome have been out of my price range for our family of five for a while now. I can only imagine how high they are now. We went in 05 when they were in Baton Rouge though for $15 a ticket and that was a tough game to watch, but yet I am so glad we went.

Just be happy you can get the tickets. Steeler tickets to the general public are few and far between. Most are season ticket holder and only a couple thousand tickets are sold to the general public. I was lucky enough to snag a couple this year and they were $150.00 for two. Pretty high up.

I do agree though that $200.00 a seat is ridiculous. To raise the prices that high after 1 superbowl win. :confused3 We have 6 wins and our ticket prices aren't close to that. If you're lucky enough to snag one , Steeler club seats are about $ 250.00 a piece face value.

Oh, I didn't realize the op was talking about seats sold to the general public. I assumed she was talking official resale via the team website. Oops.

I've got the same problem. My son would love to go to a Colts game, but just tickets for dad and him are out of my price range. :sad2: So sad. Really wish I could send him. He tried to win tickets during our library's summer reading program, but no luck. He was really bummed.
We could afford to see a Bengals game though... :rotfl:

We're Giant's fans, 10 minutes from the stadium, and didn't realize that others could buy tickets from the franchise. The cheapest seats are all $85+, to be bought from season ticket holders.

She is talking about resale. Saints season tickets have been sold out since 2006 after Katrina, way before a Superbowl win:thumbsup2 The only way to get individual tickets is through resale.

Here is what it posted on the Official Saints Site

Individual Game Tickets
The New Orleans Saints have been sold out on a season-ticket basis since the beginning of the 2006 season. As such, individual tickets are not available to purchase at this time. The best place to purchase individual tickets would be at NFL Ticket Exchange at NFL.com powered by Ticketmaster. NFL Ticket Exchange at NFL.com powered by Ticketmaster is a service for current season ticket holders and other fans that enables them to re-sell their tickets to games they cannot attend.

Not sure where you got redirected to, but I see many seats for the game in Nov in the $75 each range...

Have you tried Stub Hub for tickets? It is a resale place but a decent one.

Look for a game that might not be as popular as in the team doesn't have the best winning season or the best players. If you don't want to pay alot be prepared to sit in the nosebleed section.

I've used Stub Hub several times to get Colts tickets for my husband with great success. Last time I spent just a little over $200 for 2 tickets 10 rows behind the goal post. I like that you can see the different sections and get an idea of where your seats would be with the map on the website.

The OP was redirected to another site for ticket resale most likely Ticket Exchange. Saints season tickets have been sold out since 2006 , way before the Superbowl win:thumbsup2 The only way to get individual tickets is through resale.

Winning the SB will drive up the ticket price for any team.

I'd second trying stubhub as well.

Of course, since Brees is on the cover of Madden this year he'll be getting hurt and lost for the season at somepoint. Once that happens, I'm sure the resale market will drop prices accordingly!! ;)

How much are they charging for parking in New Orleans? We pay $50 for the Patriots, no real deals to be had either as the team bought many of the parking lots.

I wish I had that problem....I like the Browns and if I wanted to go to a game, I would have no problem. However, I went to one and nearly froze to death, so I'm fine watching it on TV.
I really don't think they will win a super bowl in my lifetime.
Or I could go watch other teams play the Lions, who very rarely sell out. Detroit and Cleveland are both pretty close.
I love our local AAA baseball games--$9 a seat!

Packer tickets have been sold out since 1960. There are approximately 80,000 people on the waiting list. People put their kids on the list as soon as they get a social security number!!
