Oh my! aka Stop looking at eyelets!

Thank goodness I'm up early this morning! Somebody's got to stop everyone from falling down into that online abyss, ordering eyelets and goodies until our eyes are glazed over with wonder thinking about how cute "this" will be on that LO or how darling "that" will look on our Disney pages. Somebody's got to stand firm and be the voice of reason this morning. Somebody's got to take charge and help us all down from that ledge we're peering over, just about to fall into that huge pile of cute little cameras, flowers, chickies, hearts, bells, animals..........(did I get to most of them? )

Now, who said something about little blue snowflakes.......do those vines come in a quantity discount???

You had me scared for a minute there! I thought you were going to put us all in a time out or on the naughty step until we stopped spending!

I agree about the vines - she needs to offer more of a discount than 'save 50 cents if you buy 4'! Especially since you need 3 to do a border.

Up early here, too! As I've said in earlier posts, I'm a newbie to scrapping, but I LOVE it so far. Now, I just went to the the bargainpack site you guys mention~~~and I see why some peeps would need a 12-step plan after visiting this little place And I'm thinking I would maybe love to use those ever-so-cute eyelets, but I have no idea now you get them into your layout? Do they take a special tool? Keep in mind, I "just" got my coluzzle knife to work last week , so I'm a bit "scrapping impaired" but definately eager to learn!!!!

Nope Deb, just trying to see if ya'll were awake yet.

I'm trying hard to keep myself away from that place, but it's really pulling me in.......trying.....hard....to stay..........away..........nope, not gonna work! I've got just the place for those vines to go! Oops, what am I gonna do if I'm the voice of reason today? I guess I'm sinking into the quicksand too...........Let me see...if I just order that bag with a 1000 eyelets, do you think I'd get a good sampling of them all?


Penny, I had a lot of trouble starting out with eyelets, but now I have the hang of it. I just bought a few scrap magazines to get ideas, and I was on my way with my own ideas. What has worked the best for me (and remember I'm a newbie too) is the Making Memories tool kit from Michael's. It runs about $10, and it seems they usually have a coupon floating around for a certain % off. Have fun!

Thank you for the info, sweet maxine. I just did some shopping with coupons at Michael's last Friday. Now I'll have to watch for their next coupon, and will consider getting this tool in the future! I'm a pretty simple "scrapper" at this point. Nothing too fancy going on here, but those eyelets do look nice.

You got it right! disneyfreakjackie had us all on another thread about setting eyelets a while ago. We were talking about the Silent Setter & she said she didn't want to give up they noise because she likes to sing "She Bangs" like William Hung from American Idol.

Too funny! Now it's hard to think about eyelets or disneyfreakjackie without thinking about William Hung!
