Is alanon associated with Scientology too?
Is alanon associated with Scientology too?
Al-Anon is associated with AA.
Thats what I thought. I thought it was for family members of alcoholics. But the name is so similar to narcanon...they try to give these legit sounding names, and people are none the wiser. Why do they have to hide if they are legit? Why not just up front say it is a narcotics program through scientology?
So in one of the gossip mags today they are saying that at the Superbowl people were laughing at Tommy because he kept telling Justin Timberlake how "amazing" he was. (Amazing must be "the" official word of scientology)
Another rag (either Star, Enquirer or Globe) had a blurb on the front about J.Lo and scientology but I did't get a chance to read it yet. I'll check it out on Saturday.
I am only on page 16 of this thread and totally hooked. Just wanted to comment that she does not look normal in this picture. I have been around many preggos and none of us looked like that. Also, after seeing some of the photos that you all have posted I too agree that Suri must have been born way before they say she was. Katie's arms look much heavier in the Dec 05 then they do in the April 06 pics. JMO and needed to get it out, thanks for listening!!Here is another great picture.

I am so pumped. Read in the newspaper today that Katie may be coming to our town in a couple of weeks to begin filming a new movie, Mad Money. Starring her, Queen Latifa and Diane Keaton. You think she'll bring Posh with her??? And the rest of her entourage? I don't think we have a Scientology center here, so that might come too. Isn't that just amazing??
So I have decided that I will never be able to read all 204 pages but have managed to come up with another thought. I'm sure that those of you that have followed this thread from the start will be annoyed that I am adding any comments about the baby's paternity but here goes...Suri does look an awful LOT like John and Kelly Travolta's baby girl. I have mixed feelings about who her true bio-parents are but that really does not matter. This thread is very interesting and has passed a few bored hours away while tending to a sick kiddo. Thanks all and keep up the good work!
That's allegedly a good one.![]()
General consensus on here is that she is either Josh Hartnett or Chris Kleins. Allegedly of course, never forget the alledged part of any supposition.![]()
Critics allege that the ultimate aim of Scientology lawsuits is to destroy church opponents by forcing them into bankruptcy or submission, using its resources to pursue frivolous lawsuits at considerable cost to defendants. In doing so, they draw particular attention to certain controversial statements made by the church’s founder, L. Ron Hubbard, in the 1950’s and 1960’s.
In 1994, for example, Scientology attorney Helena Kobrin was fined $17,775 for filing a frivolous lawsuit.[12] U.S. District Court Judge Leonie Brinkema cited a frequently quoted statement of L. Ron Hubbard on the subject in the case of Religious Technology Center vs. The Washington Post, on November 28 1995:[13]
"The purpose of the suit is to harass and discourage rather than win. The law can be used very easily to harass, and enough harassment on somebody who is simply on the thin edge anyway, well knowing that he is not authorized, will generally be sufficient to cause professional decease. If possible, of course, ruin him utterly."—L. Ron Hubbard, The Scientologist, a Manual on the Dissemination of Material, 1955
Critics also allege that the Church uses litigation as a cover for intimidation tactics, such as investigating the criminal records of opponents (or lack thereof) and subjecting them to surveillance and invasive inquiries, both to discourage further criticism and to ensure the opponent's unwillingness to fight the lawsuit. A policy letter by L. Ron Hubbard, distributed in early 1966, admonishes:
This is correct procedure:
(1) Spot who is attacking us.
(2) Start investigating them promptly for FELONIES or worse using own professionals, not outside agencies.
(3) Double curve our reply by saying we welcome an investigation of them.
(4) Start feeding lurid, blood sex crime actual evidence on the attackers to the press.
Don't ever tamely submit to an investigation of us. Make it rough, rough on attackers all the way.[14]
Opponents of Scientology cite this passage, among others, to support their contentions that the church uses smear tactics to augment the effectiveness of legal threats.
Oh come on. You're not going to spend your entire weekend reading this whole thread? So I have decided that I will never be able to read all 204 pages
