Oh man, no DME tags yet

We leave on Thursday... last trip in June we got our DME tags about 2wks (10 days or so I guess) before our arrival date.. we haven't received them yet! Is there any chance of receiving them at this point- like if I call them on Monday or something? Or can I call them NOW?

I'm travelling alone with kids... I can't just decide to take all my luggage with me to avoid problems without the tags. I need them to take my luggage and I NEED to not have to worry about my luggage having "issues" or delays because of lack of tags! I really don't need long lines to handle this in "some way" once we get to MCO because we don't have tags. What exactly do you do if you don't have DME tags to put on your luggage but you are using DME?

Wow, did I get ignored or what. I see people read the thread- no response. I see others panicking at 3wks out about DME tags and others responded? Ooh, I've been diss'd. LOL

I read but cannot help. I have been in the situation where I did not receive tags but have not used the luggage service because I bring carryons only.

There have been many discussions regarding this. You don't need your ME luggage tags. Just keep your luggage claim tickets from your airline and give them to the agent at the ME desk. They will find your luggage.

you and I will be there at the same time. I received my tags about 3 weeks ago. I will not be using them as I am arriving at almost midnight. I also prefer to have my luggage put under the bus so I and it arrives at the resort at the same time. Yes I do still take a change in my carryon. I am just a control freak who must know exactly what/when/where is going on. Yes I am working through the control freak right after I work out the Diznut issue. Therapy may take years and years with many trips to see if I am cured.

Fran, I'm the same way. I would MUCH prefer to have my luggage with me and not go through the hassle of waiting for it late at night (we arrive very late also) but with just me and the kids, it's not really feasible for me to carry all our luggage (they can help with carryons but not the big luggage). Without DH to help- DME is a lifesaver for me!

However............. I just posted this on another thread. That thread was all about how all this time I was thinking we were leaving Thursday. I do not know WHY I thought that- but we actually leave Wed night! Here is what I posted about DME tags:

I just went to look at my paperwork to make SURE it says 28th- since I've been thinking Thursday all along I got to thinking maybe we really are going 29th-3rd and I just messed up when I made the reservations because I thought they were going to school Mon-Thurs this week.... and then realized (are you ready for this???)....... all this bellyaching for a week or so about maybe not getting DME tags and I ALREADY GOT THEM!

I guess since we kept getting the paperwork on this trip over and over (what is up with that anyway? Every trip we get the paperwork like 5-6 times- I swear I have a big pile of envies from them here LOL) that I didn't realize one of them was the DME tags!

Good grief..... all that worrying for nothing. LOL this probably happened because after I knew I'd paid and already had the paperwork with the flight tickets in it- after that I just kept putting the envies up without even opening them- that way the kids wouldn't notice. We usually get our mail right when we get home from me picking the kids up from school. My kids (especially the oldest) are nosey and also know what Disney envies look like. I guess in my rush to hide the envie I didn't realize it was the DME tags! What a dork I am! But this is great!
