Earlier tonight I kept getting 503 messages. Figured no big deal. I got off of here, watched American Idol. Got back on here & now everything opens up in a new window. It scrolls all on it's own! It's like my computer is possessed! I have tried other browsers and I get the same thing on all of them! I have McAfee, so I scanned it. Nothing! I have no clue what is going on! So if I don't reply back to a post, it's basically because I can't.

And if this posts twice or more, so sorry. This computer is tripping me out!!!!

Thank you so much! I'm downloading it now! If I lose my computer I was lose it completely. I have all my maternity pics (from the 1st test til now) on here, pics of my boys, the few Disney 07 pics. But I can't get this moment back, the 1st time I held my baby girl

Once you get your computer working again, get those pictures off of there! (Beautiful shot, btw.)

Yeah, that is the plan. As of tomorrow my DH will be flooded with pics, just to be on the safe side. Just of my daughter I have over 2000 pics, so photobucket is a no go, I'd have a billion accounts! I'm working using 2 mouse. One won't put up the the 2nd tab & works fine, except for scrolling, so I'm thinking it's the mouse.

Thank you, I love that pic of us. I need to get it framed.

Try a System Restore first to a setting of a few days ago. Then run the malwarebytes program a couple of times. That's the only thing that worked for me. Once the virus was up & running, it wouldn't even let me properly run the malwarebytes program. But, when I restored the computer to a couple days before I had the trouble, the virus/Trojan horse was still in a dormant stage, and I could run the malwarebytes program and it got rid of it.

To get into System Restore, click on Start --> Programs --> Accessories --> System Tools --> System Restore.

Then choose "Restore computer to an earlier time." Pick a bolded date on the calendar from a few days ago, before you noticed any problems.

It will restore your computer. Then run the malwarebytes program. Then update your antivirus and run that. Hopefully you'll have gotten rid of whatever you got.

Ditto this. We had a virus or trojan or worm on our computer last week and system restore was the only thing that worked. We have McAfee, but it got through it somehow. We also used Malware to scan our computers after we did system restore.

You need to make sure you go and get a backup drive. You can pick one up for a pretty good price, and then make sure you either 1) backup your computer or 2) make a copy of your pictures on it. Sending them to your husband is good, too, but the more places you have them stored, the better. Technology can and will fail, so if you have something that important to you, you need to make sure you have it saved in multiple places. I'd probably start printing out pictures, too. You can upload them to Wal-Mart.com and they'll print them out and you can either have them mailed to you or pick them up in the store.

Thanks sooooooooo much!!!! My computer is back to normal & I am happy. I'm also sending DH all my pics to his work computer as we speak!

Did you find a lot of malware? I had a murderous time with some of it on my old PC. Macafee is lousy at picking up this stuff too.

I'm glad that your PC is OK now.

You should also try deleting your temporary files and temporary internet files. And even run malwarebyes in safe mode (with networking) sometimes helps too.

We run it regularly. It is amazing what builds up and slows down your computer. Kids websites have a lot of malware associated with them, we've found. We have just certain websites that we allow our kids on on our main computer. Glad it helped!

I noticed that after I let my kids play on my computer things went all crazy on me. Looks like it's only club penguin for them from now on lol

Go to Mozy.com and backup what you need to. It's free for a certain amount of space and it's awesome

One of the best things we ever got (after our Mac, of course ::yes:: ) for our home computing is our combination external(back-up) hard-drive/cable modem. It's by Apple and is called "Time Machine". The thing runs automatically several times a day and is worth every penny.

I think it might be my answer to one of the "What-If" question of "What one item would you save from a house fire?"

agnes!

You can also just create free email accounts at Gmail (owned by Google.) They give you something like 2 gb per account. Use the accounts as off-site backup for your pics & files, like "shelbypics1." Simply start emailing the pics to those email accounts.
