Where should I begin? This is my 1st trip report. Hopefully, not my last. So, please go easy on me if it's not formatted as nicely as others! This trip occured exactly one year ago from today. I decided to write a trip report now because actually, we are supposed to be in disney today. See, last year was my dh's 1st trip and it sealed the deal for our return. So, in feb. we booked our trip. We had booked WL/wood's view, 5 day hopper, with dining plan. However...this is when the sad news comes in....i started a new job in july..told my boss my 1st day..and she told me I wasn't allowed to take off. Of course, I looked at her like she was crazy. I mean come on..who takes away someone's disney vacation??!! but, it happened. so, let's begin last year's trip report now.

Cast of Characters:

Me Disney lover since I was a child. My 1st trip was when I was 5 and we stayed at the contempory. then, went again a few times as a child.

DH: been married to this disney lover for 3 years. Has never been to disney before this trip. so, he took some convincing to go.

Boyprince: and that isn't a code name!! we actually call him that. he is DH's younger brother by 5 years. he gets away with anything and i mean anything.

and finally....

princess she is boyprince's girlfriend (hence the name princess) at the time. (they are now engaged). she has been to disney a few times as a child and it took no convincing to get her to come back!

Dh and I spent the night before at my IL's house because they would be watching DS while we were gone and we didn't want to wake him up at the crack of dawn to drop him off. so, at about 4:30 (alarm was sent for 5:30am) I'm lying there awake...imagining what my dh's 1st trip to disney will be like, when suddenly, i hear my dh awake! He never gets up before the alarm! he must be excited too! We decide to lay there for a little as we didn't want to wake the rest of the house yet. so, slowly we start to get ready, look in on our sleeping DS and head for the airport. It was a smooth ride to PHL. We used a off site parking facilty that worked out wonderfully. They use your car to drop you off at the airport and then they will bring your car to you when you return! no need to go rescue it. Our flight was scheduled for 9:20am and we took off on time. the only eventful thing that happened on the flight was there was a little girl that cried the ENTIRE 2 hr flight. It didn't bother me one bit, however, the rest of the passengers weren't as happy. At one point i jokily said to another passenger " what, do you think her parents are MAKING her cry. I'm sure they pinched her so she would cry" I mean honestly. things happen...one day it could be me with the screaming DC. anyway, we landed and made the long trek to ME. got in line for CBR. probably had to wait about 20 minutes. and then we were off to my dh's 1st disney resort. We didn't have any stops before CBR so we got off the bus and made our way to check in. Boyprince and princess had already been there a day so they requested that our rooms be close to eachother. the lovely CM who checked us in explained that our request was granted but our room wasn't ready yet. No problems! at this point it was about 1:30pm and we were starving. Boyprince and princess were spending the day at universal so, dh and i walked to the closest bus stop to head off to a park. I told dh "whatever bus pulls up first, that's where we are going" well, boyprince calls dh and tells him they are back early and where are we, etc. dh explains the plan and they meet us at the bus stop. 1st bus that pulls up is HS. (mgm at the time) so we're off to our 1st park!!!!
